Perfect site for the prepper and homesteader to get this valuable tool. Doesn't appear to be a scam, though I've never used it (never bought a nutcracker from them) so I can't tell.

Website sells partially fired clay pots that allow the water they are filled with to seep into the soil through the raw unfired clay. Have seen this on Amazon.com but this is the only website I have browsed that offers bulk quantities and pallets of these pots, called ollas. Never bought these pots or tried to do business with this website however, so it could be a scam. Beware and be skeptical of too many 'too-good-to-be-true' claims if you end up encountering them here.

Lectures are thought provoking and vary with a broad selection of topics but the video files on the TED website have some glitches that unfortunately blemish the experience of listening and watching the speakers. For example the video will begin playing and then the visuals will stop and the audio will keep going. Which means you can hear the speaker but you can't see any of their diagrams or presentation slides. Annoying.

Perfect place for an off-the-grid homesteader to enjoy shopping for grain mills, cutlery, foodstuffs, juice presses, corn shellers, etc. Have never bought from them personally (yet) but plan to do so in the near future. Bottom line, I recommend them based on their selection alone.

This college is one of a growing number that teach a liberal arts curriculum in the Midwest and is mentioned in Loren Pope's book on colleges with a liberal arts curriculum and emphasis. Though it is academically challenging, I still recommend it especially if your goal is study English, Humanities, Art, Architecture, Math, etc. Bottom line, I would recommend it to others.

As a resident of Moraga from 2007-2013 I love this town and Contra Costa County in general. Moraga has some of the best public and private high schools in the East San Francisco Bay area and St. Mary's College in the southern part of town. It is also has regular town gatherings for the people living there which bring everyone together.

Largely applicable only to people living in the UK, not so much for U.S. college students who need a second gig working to pay off their student debt. Not recommended.

Needed moon phase tables and information on eclipses and other astronomical lunar phenomena. This site has very accurate data for lunary cycles in the 2016 and I look forward to using it in the year 2017.

This website promotes alterntiave styles of traditional home building techniques that help owner-builders and homeowners looking at prospective houses reduce their carbon footprint by constructing ecologically friendly homes. Discussions include earthen home building traditions such as Oregon cob, English cob, light straw-clay, earth bags, Earthships, straw bale, rammed earth, etc. Also offers a 1 week intensive in Jacksonville Oregon on how to build a cob cottage and another intensive abroad.

Seems like a reputable place to learn earthen construction techniques, specifically cob. I don't have personal experience with them, but I support their mission to alleviate global warming and reduce carbon emissions associated with housing.

Has listings of concerts, art walks, nature tours, nature hikes, free museum days, etc. that one can take advantage of in their city. Just beware of the high ticket prices and general availability of websites like Funcheap that will list free ways to sign up, attend, or participate in the same events. The reason I removed 2 stars from my rating is because of the previously mentioned availability of similar or identical events on Funcheap and the often outrageous ticket prices or admission fees on everfest.

Community here tends to provide book reviews of variable quality and reliability, I recommend searching for reviews of a book on Amazon.com. There you can compare the percentage of a book's rating that received 5 star ratings or higher with other titles, recommended reading by the NY times, bestseller lists curated by Amazon's editors, etc. Look a title up at ALA.org or read a review in publications like School Library Journal. Bottom line - pass on this one unless given no other alternatives. Not recommended.

These people claim to be astrologers and take your money on the premise that they will uncover your secret "Pleidian mission" or some other such nonsense. Most astrologers are legitimate and professional people, the fact that 'Lavandar' and her cohorts sell their New Age nonsense in the name of astrology does the whole profession of Western astrology and astrologers a disservice. So don't buy this website's services, instead look for reports from true astrology websites like astro.com from 'Liz Greene' and other very reputable astrologers. Bottom line - I don't like websites and so-called astrologers like this.

If you are looking for some rare facts about specific topics like religion, philosophy, mathematics, etc, then you're at the right website. More detailed, extensively cited articles that give a great deal of detail more than say, Wikipedia, but at the same time it is not free. A paid subscription is required to access a lot of the content. Which is why I removed 1 star.

I think that DickBlick offers reasonable pricing on art materials and popular brands of materials like graphite crayons, lithography crayons, easels, markers, oil paints, etc. Have yet to find a vendor that is a match who delivers quality on par with Blick's and their mid-range pricing at the same time. Bottom line, I think they are OK and would be a repeat customer of theirs, but I would keep an eye out for other art vendors and bargains for the same materials, supplies, and otehr things that Blick offers at Amazon.com and search Google to see if I find the item elsewhere for an equally good or superior price before shopping here.

Have been locked out of my account so I created another and the same thing happened. The password recovery system that verifies whether the account owner is who they claim to be and not a hacker does not account for outdated phone numbers and e-mail addresses that change and makes the verification checks impossible to complete. It's unfortunate that so many people use Paypal exclusively these days so that everyone is forced to use it whether they dislike Paypal and its systems or not. Shame.

Filled with such New Age platitudes as "There is no need to claim Mastery, it just is", this New Age website sells crystal wands, so-called 'psychic' sessions, and travel trips to spiritual sites around the world. The person who runs the website Meg Blackburn Losey is an author of several books about such New Age topics as 'Crystalline Children', ancient alien history, and self-help. Would browse this website with a grain of salt if I were you.

Be careful of the information that you learn on this website, many articles contain contradictions and factual inaccuracies in them. The website is open to whomever wants to edit and write articles, therefore exercise critical thinking skills and take facts learned from the articles on this website with a grain of salt. Recommended with reservations and advice.

Apps like this are what will lead not far into the future to a totalitarian state or fascist technocracy where cyberstalking and data mining for information on individuals is unregulated, unrestricted, and available to just about anybody, including dangerous cybercriminals and espionage agencies of the government. Imagine if you were a domestic abuse victim and you were trying to find help without the abuser knowing about your efforts to get help. It would be nearly impossible to find help in locations that have Nextdoor activated. Don't support cyber stalking like Nextdoor's and enjoy a safer, more ethically transparent neighborhood and community for it. Bottom line -- I think this is an ominous development in unwanted and threatening cybersurveillance, stalking, and fosters suspicion, mistrust, and backhanded gossip in communities that could get along perfectly fine if they would only deal openly and transparently with one another. Don't encourage services and cyberstalking using apps and services like Nextdoor.
