I made an appointment to replace an alternator and other parts through Jim. John called to say he didn't have the tool to replace the serpentine belt for my Mini Cooper and asked for more info about the car. Then we postponed the appointment for the following week. I had already bought the parts I wanted John to install. However, I wasn't sure what days I would have days off from work, so we temporarly booked for Tuesday. He did not have a time for Wednesday, but to call him to reschedule. However, there is no way to call your mechanic as he uses a bogus phone number to call you. There is no way to contact your mechanic via the website.
Thus, I had to schedule an appointment with Mr. Nguyen. Two days before my appointment, I get a message that the original quote had to be changed. It was a few hundred dollars higher and he charged me for parts. Thus, I canceled the appointment and will go find a live mechanic whom I can do business.
I also read the reviews here and just came on to warn people about doing business with yourmechanic.com.
