You do not have to take my word for it. Always be skeptical about anything you read. I welcome anyone to do their own investigation. The so called description from its CEO Raul Hernandez mentioning that is from the forest to the forest is not only half the truth, but I would say is only about. ******* truth. From its insulting $500 dollars spending on baby shrubs per year to do their so called re-forestation. Quite a slap on the face to mother nature from a small company making 4 million dollars a year in sales (Money made a few years ago, probably more now), whose CEO is really good at convincing folks by saying "We are committed to growing and protecting our Redwood forests, especially rare Old-Growth Redwoods, by utilizing the proceeds from product sales to fund our restoration forestry work." Even checks received from people that wanted to donate for a good cause, not a penny went in to their forest restoration, which by the way is land owned by Forever Redwood's CEO and a couple of his friends, which one just happened to sue him for part of the land. This is not a guy protecting woods all over California, but a small part of land owned by... him of course. Is a good way to make wooden furniture, making people believe the cause? The wood being taken from logs that fell over a storm or that fell down because of another tree in the way... perhaps at first, not anymore, do your own investigation and you will find out that most purchases are from cut down logs from a company in Santa Rosa. The company ships from San Diego but, all the work is done in Ensenada Baja California Mexico, with a different name of course, being called Old Growth Again for a few years until he owed a lot of people and changed the name instead of paying. But I am pretty sure he mentions something about it being in Ensenada Mexico in a well hidden spot in his website to defend himself about it being a secret. What do you get when talking to him, a charming, well-spoken that knows about wooden furniture quite well, an anything for you my friend kind of guy but once the shipment starts getting late, and I mean really late, a month or two late, and if you inquire about it and you want to speak to him about it, you get transferred to his customer service reps that get paid about $75 dlls per week saying he is not available, but if you mention you want to purchase a pergola, guess who will answer the phone right away? Company makes good furniture I give them that but is very good at telling lies as well. Once again, don't take my word for it, if you know how to do it, I welcome you to investigate this, read reviews, you probably will not read certain details I wrote here, I just personally know a few facts because I did business with this company in Ensenada, Mexico.
