  • Doctors Foster and Smith

A few months ago, I became a Comfortis customer. I started getting my dog's Comfortis from Costco, until I found that the Dr. Foster website offers similar prices on the same product. I think the price was a little higher with shipping, but still very worthwhile for the convenience of having the meds delivered to me in the mail. I will not be a Costco member forever, so the Dr. Foster online store will become increasingly useful to me in the future.
Now, if only they would stop sending me these wasteful magazine-style catalogs in the mail.

Just for my own curiosity, I was taking a free MOOC at coursera.org about complex analysis, you know like about the Mandelbrot set and Cauchy-Riemann equations. But not being super smart, I needed help! I found a grad student nearby who charged $50/hour so I hired him for some help. But then I found KJS Tutoring which had an active Groupon going on. I joined Groupon, got their promotional discount for first-time Groupon users, then bought the KJS Tutoring Groupon, and voila! I have a two hours of very affordable (almost free) tutoring in a difficult math subject via Skype from KJS Tutoring!
Love that Groupon.

I work for a non-profit org that gets science lab equipment and lends it to public school science teachers in L. A.
Because of this job, I call and email Vernier often for tech support and to ask for discounts for our cause.
Their tech support is by far the best I have ever encountered. More than once, I even had Dave Vernier himself on the phone giving me the tech support, how about that.
Because of our non-profit work promoting the use of hands-on lab equipment, Christine Vernier also sent us some donations of refurbished Vernier stuff last year. They continue to be gracious about giving us little discounts or selling us marked-down refurbished stuff for our cause, too.
This is a high-quality business, everybody.

Xylitol candy tastes great and is good for kids' teeth. Too good to be true? Well, it holds up for us so far, and we've been using xylitol candy for two years.
You need to watch the shelf life, though. Xylitol candy grabs moisture out of the air and becomes sticky over time. The best way to keep xylitol candy fresh is to keep it in the freezer.
We have a big, one-year-old bag of lollipops from Dr. Johns in the freezer right now, and we still graze from it. It is a beautiful thing.

Everything especially good the dog show folks. Prices are reasonable, too! I am happy with this site
