I've had Trupanion Insurance for 9 Years now. I had 3 dogs insured. One was only 5 months old when I registered him. The other two were 3 Years and 6 Years old. At first I thought the premiums were not too bad -but over the years I kept getting rate increases. I would call them to inquire and they would say it's not because of their age it's because of the cost of Vet charges in my area. They can tell you whatever they like and they were always making excuses for the rate increases.
I should've cancelled my policy years ago. I regret that I didn't. My recommendation is that you Don't get insurance with them-unless you want to give away thousands of dollars! Put the money in an account every month and if you need it for a sick pet you will have the funds and not have to contend with "we don't pay the exam nor do we pay for the first 500" on the claim or whatever the deductible happens
This straw that broke the camels back for me is;
I received a notice that my one dog's premium is going up from 55. To 71.55 per month THAT is a 30% increase! And that's just one dog with a 500 deductible. The other dogs are going up as well they told me when I phoned - I just haven't received the notice yet. It's seems there is no regulation on how much they can raise your premium after you've been paying for years with virtually no claims. I think I received about $400 for one dog over the course of 9 Years and no claims on the other two. Trupanion Pet Insurance is a Big Rip Off!

I run a dental practice and if you want to throw your money away then use them.
The previous owner signed a contract with YellowPages and it was tied to the Telus phone account and business number so there was no way of getting out of the contract even though the service they were providing was subpar. We agreed to pay out the contract. But now Telus is billing us for Media Advertising and telling us that they do not generate the charges they are only a 3rd party that does the billing and debits the bank account. We have paid YellowPages directly and the former dentists account is still getting debited because YellowPages is still sending charges through Telus, and Telus is still collecting for them because they said they have a contract with YellowPages to collect the amount they say is due. It's completely Ridiculous and the worst of it is Telus won't help and after waiting on hold for 1 hr I could not get a hold of anyone who can help from Yellow Pages either. AVOID AVOID AVOID this company!
