On 10/23/17 I contracted with a salesman from Home Depot in Jersey City, NJ to repair my roof. A few days later an inspector came by to access the damage which in my opinion should have been done before giving me a price to do the repairs. After checking out the roof the inspector wanted ME to have some pieces of wood replaced BEFORE Home Depot would fix the roof. This contract was for $21,000 and did not include this. After I made a down payment of almost $9,000 Home Depot did not contact me for about a week and when they did they told me that they had cancelled my contract and would not give me an explanation as to why they did so. In addition to cancelling my contract, Home Depot only returned half on my deposit to my checking account about a week later. When I cancelled my credit card with them a few days later they returned half of my deposit to my checking account and when I asked when the rest of my money would be returned their excuse was that they could only return it by check and that it would take approximately 3 weeks to do so.
