Not sure why the ratings are so bad. What seems to be the problem? My experience was always great. Been using Hotels.com for years and booked up to ten hotels during that time period. Like I said: Never had any problems.

Absolutely happy with the number of bookings I've done with expedia.
Clear booking process and with good support. Never had any issues! I am suprised to even read negative comments on expedia.

Most reviews sound like people taking their rejections out on POF. The site is ok. I personally prefer OKC and Mingle2day but POF is a nice add on. Many members, easy to use, clean interface.

I have had some bad experiences with OKC but overall found the site itself useful to meet new people. I'd always recommend to use more than ons site to increase your chances of meeting someone. POF and Mingle2day are nice add-ons.
