I purchased a Winix Plasmawave model 5300 nearly two years ago. It has been running continuously ever since and besides cleaning and replacing filters I have never had to do anything to it. Besides eliminating odors, it has significantly reduced the dust problem in my house so I am quite pleased with it. Maybe I'm lucky because I've never had to deal with the customer service everyone else seems to dislike, but the product itself works as described and well worth the price.
Tip for consumers:
I cannot remember specifics about the Winix's website since it has been nearly two years, but I can say that I have NOT received unwanted emails or advertisement as a result of my use of this website.
Products used:
I actually bought two air purifiers, the Wine 5300 and another similar one from RabbitAir. I have been very pleased with both of them. They are very quiet and will let you know if and when you need to replace or clean filters.
Well, I just logged on, so how can I know what experience I'm going to have? I would proceed and answer afterward; however, the survey box cannot be minimized or moved to the side - so I have to go with four stars for now just based on previous cheap-air experiences.
