Let me strt by stating that as a 20+ yr part of the culinary community, I have NEVER written a negative review on a restaurant, but I have never had a place make excuses for less than expected cuisine.
On Valentines day 2021 I ordered over $70 of Take out order(s) and have such mediocre food... with the exception of 1 item, the Calamari Luciano. When I ordered I specifically asked about the walnut crusted goat cheese, pear and arugula salad ($12) I asked if the goat cheese was actually walnut crusted because the photos show just a slice of goat cheese and was assured it was. So I picked up the food and drove back to my home approx. 20 min. Away. When I got home with my fiance' and opened the salad there was the naked goat cheese with some walnuts on top of the salad, not even pressed into the goat cheese. So the next day when I called the rest.and I was told that the chef said they fell off because it was a TO GO order... really?
As a "chef" myself, I know all you have to do is CHOP the walnuts and press into the cheese, but I guess this chef doesn't know about that technique.
I also ordered the Risotto w/ Lobster ($32) which was mediocre at best with a minimal amount of lobster (2 oz. +/-) and was dry, not "creamy" as it should be. Lastly, I ordered a combo dessert that had tiramisu & cheesecake with berries and whip cream that they put ih the SAME to go container, so when I opened it the tiramisu was innundated with berries and whipped cream which as you can imagine had the tiramisu tasting like berries... REALLY?
They couldn't even spare a 2nd to go box to avoid this?... lack of any forethought.
As I said before the Calamari Luciano was the only dish that was not disappointing... but for a $70+ meal it was probably the worst I have ever had... and to make thing EVEN worse, all they did was make excuses as to why... and I wasn't even looking for a full refund, only for the salad and dessert, not even for the mediocre risotto and all I got in response was that it was because it was a to go order.
Just another example of not owning your mistakes and blaming others...
So in closing I would say the this place is HIGHLY OVERRATED, definitely overpriced, with staff that make excuses instead of making it right.
There are plenty of other Italian Restaurants in Jupiter, so if you choose this palce... you have been warned.
To be honest, if they had owned the issues from the start and EVEN attempted to make it right, I wouldn't have taken the time to write this review.
When I was working in this industry we ACTUALLY made every effort to make things right... not excuse away sub par food...
