Amazon is a great financial success. I'm an investor and customer - but their customer service is insulting and incompetent. While, they generally provide a good selling service experience on simple common items, where they fail utterly is trying to understand what would make their customers - better customers on something that requires accurate dimensions, weights, and colors:
1. There is no contact point on the Amazon site for communication regarding Amazon customer service - just third party sellers.
2. Amazon does a miserable job at policing its sellers and their own ads regarding standardizing product descriptions and making sure they are correct. About 80% of Amazon product ads are incorrect or incomplete regarding critical specifications of the their products.
I would have much rather dealt with Amazon directly, but again they have no Amazon service feed back or way of reaching customer service directly on their web site. Even though Amazon is clearly successful, as an investor and a customer - I know they could be far more successful if they provided a method and listened to their customers.
