I wrote a review previously on ShippingCart delivering the wrong package. Two months after the bungle, and after many emails and filing for a refund from Paypal, they ended up delivering my package. That was good - but the reality is air shipments are not cheap - we use them because we need something sooner, not later, so my review of that package stays the same - 1 star. But kudos at least for finally getting my goods that I had paid for to me.
So friends report using Shipping Cart for years without ever an issue. And I recently needed something without the delays of my usual sea-route consolidator (Forex Freight - a great company) - so decided to gamble on trying ShippingCart again. I know, I know - I was asking for it! Normally, I won't touch a company again that treated me the way SC did the first time. But there are so few options outside of Manila. So I risked it (and more expensive items, even!). And lo! They came through! Package was delivered today - the date of their original estimate for delivery. So this time i give them 5 stars! But, they did what they contracted to do and what I paid them to do. One time doing your job does not offset another time when they totally bungled it - so my overall rating has gone up one star. A few more completions, and I will give them 3. It will be years before they can get back to 5 stars - that's reality - You can lose a customer very easily, and it is very hard to get them back. Do what you promise, and more important, WHEN YOU SCREW UP, MAKE IT RIGHT ASAP! So one fail (with a way-to-late save), and one completion. I may chance them again.
