After signing up for match.com and paying for a 6 month subscription I started using the site.
First I went through all the various settings.
Second I went to turn off the "auto renew activation".
To Disable auto-renew do the following
Step-1 hover over the gear icon next to your picture on top of the page, click settings
Step-2 click cancel subscription, go through the prompts ending in deactivating the account.
Step-3 close the web page and clear the internet history in the browser
Step-4 log back on to your account, it will prompt you to reactivate (this means auto renew) CLICK NO - this is where they are deceiving you, because you paid for the subscription and still have whatever amount of time you paid for with full functionality.
Step-5 repeat Step-1 and click subscription status it should now say inactive.

To be 100% sure Call your Bank and get a new Card Number. This way these dishonest people cannot get more of your money.

There are a lot of fake profiles with women supposedly 29 years old and they use the same woman's pic for numerous fake profiles, it's easy to spot. Then you have the free users who's subscription ran out or they did not pay, those people are quick to take you to outside email or some other form of chat communication. How do you know they are not one of the scammers? Match does nothing about this. Why? Because the free accounts and scammers are generating traffic on the website that is "Producing Advertisement Revenue". So basically paying customers are getting screwed in several different ways. Then you have the same women on there for YEARS. No Man will ever do or those profiles are fake as well. It's crazy you have chubby single moms with a career and a house and suddenly their standards become so insane and exacting that you wonder if these women live in reality or not. My main concern here though is the questionable business practices going on with match, purposely programming things to be confusing and in that confusion people get clipped with a "Renewed Subscription" that they did not want and there is No Refunds. Best bet is to call your debit card or credit card provider a month before the subscription runs out and ask for a new card with a new number. Many of these websites are owned by IAC they own POF, Match, Our Time, and probably more.
As soon as I sent match an email pointing out everything I noticed, suddenly the scam winks slowed to almost zero and suddenly my profile began "Acting Up" every time I would edit the text it would come back different than what I typed in after "They Approved It" / "Altered It". Before I spoke up the profile editor worked fine.

Also be aware that when you sign up there is a check box that says "Share Your Profile With Our Affiliated Dating Sites?"
Bingo! This is why you see so many of the same faces on so many Dating Sites.

The best advice I can give is to stay away from online dating, most of the companies are not honest and most of the people there are either playing, cheating, scamming and more. And NO this is NOT Hating this is the TRUTH.
