CrowdSurf is a company that provides transcription and captioning services. It is a good place to work. They provide an easy to use platform for completing tasks. You can choose when and how much you work. They offer a great opportunity for learning and improving your transcriptions as they provide excellent feedback and attentive support. They also pay daily and offer advancement opportunities for those who qualify.

Clickworker is one of the better crowdsourcing places to work. They have a human aspect to them and a much better customer service response than say, Amazon Mechanical Turk.

It may take longer to start making money and you may find less jobs available to you than other similar sites. But in time the more jobs you do the more jobs will come. Their jobs seem to be of higher quality and random rejection of jobs are rare, unlike other crowdsourcing places.

You can also get assessments, such as, writing or English language which will open up more jobs for you as well. They are quick to answer any problems you may have and also have a great support system. You are treated like a human not a number.

But like most types of crowdsourcing jobs, it is a place for most people just to make a little extra money. Those who have found ways to make a lot of cash are much fewer. It's best to go in knowing that.

I originally reviewed Amazon Mechanical Turk as a good place to work for a little extra spending money, and I still stand by that review. However, from a customer service aspect it is horrible.

Be careful of the HITS you accept. If you are doing HITS for a new requester. Do only a few HITS first and wait and see if they reject or accept and how long they take to do that and pay you. You could waste hours and have many HITS rejected (without knowing why) which will bring down your rating and could cause AMAZON to freeze or block your account.

Amazon also randomly suspends accounts because you will be treated as an algorithm and not a human.

Be careful about keeping money sitting in your account without moving it quickly. You could get suspended for unknown reasons and lose your earnings. This happens quit frequently. Suspensions happen for real reasons to protect the site but also for reasons unknown with no fault of yours.

Reaching customer service and resolving these problems tend to be futile and you will likely be given a canned response email. It still can be good place to make extra money, just be aware of what could happen and protect yourself first.
