I got taken! They had a nice picture of the sweetgrass plant they were selling. I wanted 4, until I saw the shipping was going to cost more than the potted starts. I cut my order down to 2, and that brought the shipping down to the same as my potted starts. Now I wish I had backed out when I got such a pricey shipping quote!
4 days later my plants arrived. I must say I was pleased at how fast my order was handled, and arrived, but when I opened my package, I could have cried. I had two pots with very poor specimens. They were nothing like the images that were displayed on the website advertising. I emailed them complaining, and they wrote back, asking me if I had ever heard the phrase "A Picture Is Worth A Thousand Words." I wrote back telling them I'd get a picture to them but it would be late that evening. But then I couldn't get their stupid condescending question outta my head. And the rest of the day their condescending, patronizing, BS reply kept running through my head! So I wrote again, telling the yes I had heard the phrase they mentioned, and that I use to use it frequently, but that it used to be that pictures never lie, but nowadays we have Photoshop, so that stuff has changed! And that they know the poor quality of the stock they sent me, and that there's no reason I should bother myself with a bunch of BS while they try to blame shippers, or me for the crap they sent.
Then I threw out the trash they sent, reordered my order with a well known nursery, because I have had to deal with this kind of crap before, and I am really tired of beating my head against a brick wall! People like them will have you mailing back sample while they blame others. They sent me trash, and that's what they are. I would advise to stay away from (thegrowers-exchange.com) what's in their pictures is not what they are selling, and they're prepared to blow the smoke of deceit up you as long and far as you will let them.

Tip for consumers:
Look elsewhere, go to www.prairienursery.com, and check out their plants.
Don't get hooked by thegrowers-exchange's nice pictures. Those pictures aren't when they're selling.

Products used:
None, they sent trash, and they know they did, but wanted to embark on a journey of having me take pictures and return samples etc. I have more to do than waste time playing, "it's someone else's fault, we sent you top quality plants", when they know what they sent was trash!

My first order with instacart, was a small "test" order, and it went well, and left me feeling like someone had mastered shop & drop, and turned it into a big business.

My second order was a minor train wreck, but survivable, if one has the time and patience to connect on the phone with customer service, and spend a few hours getting things straightened out.

My third order was a complete disaster, and what did finally, after 19 hours, get shopped and dropped, never appeared at my door, until 5:30 AM the next day, in a neighbor's arm's, as she told me when she opened her door, to leave for work, it was sitting there. Of course all the refrigerated and frozen goods had ruined. It was then I said I'd never do instacart again. But instacart had refunded my money, and gave me a $20 credit to my account, plus one free delivery.

A month went by, BTW I am disabled, and can not physically go to the stores myself, and this day I thought a frozen pizza would be nice, so I thought I would give instacart a chance to redeem itself, and I used the $20 credit, to order 4 Jack's frozen pizzas. Of course I added a couple loaves of bread, some potatoes, and cleaning supplies.

Well low and behold - I GOT SCREWED! AGAIN! It's obvious I'm not getting my money back this time, That $20 credit and a free delivery was obviously a set-up and I took the bait! Let me leave you with this warning - instacart is fantastic for your first order, but don't let them sucker you in. It is the only time you will be giving them 5 stars, from then on out, you're screwed! And instacart will play you to the MAX! Keep your money, and your financial information. Don't be the fool I was!
