I have been a Kohl's customer for many years and never had a late payment. I had to go out of town to work in October, and instead of going online and paying my bill I just mailed it in. It apparently never made it to Kohl's. When I got home I found a bill for the late payment on it. I panicked and called them immediately and they told me there was no problem that they were not going to report it to the credit bureau. I paid it been in there and was told everything was fine. I checked my credit the other day and my credit score dropped 100 points.I had to go into the credit agency and find out why. They did report me after saying they hadn't. I've been a good customer I've always been reliable and I am not responsible for a lost check. I did everything I could to fix the problem as soon as I got home. I think they could've had a little more patience the payment was only two weeks late. I will not shop with them ever again unless they reverse this ding on my credit.
