While shopping on Frontgate.com an offer for 20% off site-wide appeared. By signing up to receive emails from Frontgate, I would receive 20% off site-wide. I read the exclusions and found that the item in which I was interested would qualify for the discount. However, the discount did not appear so I called customer service and was told it would appear after I submitted my order. I did so, the order went through and the discount did not appear. I was then told that the sale price reflected the 20% discount and I said no, the price was the same as it appeared prior to my signing up for the discount. This was very deceptive and I would not have bought the item without thinking I would receive the 20% discount. However, because the customer service representative told me that I had to submit the order to receive the discount, the sale went through and my credit card charged.
Very deceptive ad and business practice.
