“Pretty when delivered, dead the next day”

I bought my Mother 2 doz. Roses for Mother's Day. When they were delivered she said that they were beautiful. She made sure that there was plenty of water in the vase right away, but the next day they were totally wilted and losing their petals.
I'm so disappointed and embarrassed. Even though I got them for $30.00, by the time you pay the tax and the $15.00 to send them, I had just pennies shy of $50.00 in them and they didn't last long enough to get any enjoyment out of them.
