I received thyeir Guitar Ech kit as a Christmas gift. It came with no instructions, but it was enjoyable to identify all the parts and figure out what goes where. Yet, when I encountered a question and sought help, their electrical engineer, offered nothing more that curt smartass comments. I really had fun assembling this thing, but I won'tdo any more business with this outfit.______________________________________________________________________________

Well, it's interesting that Mr. Acosta provided my e-mail, but left out the communications that prompted that note, and what led me to post that his comments were curt and smartassed. For what it's worth, here is my initial plea for assistance:

"I wanted to check this one more time.

On page 2 of the schematics, capacitor C19 is noted at. 01uf. However, the one capacitor I have left (product #2A102J) appears to be rated at. 001uF.

In a previous e-mail you said, "Try it. It should work", but that didn't sound very convincing. I have no knowledge of electrical engineering and certainly don't want to put this capacitor in place if it's going to burn out some circuit.

This is the last part to install. Thanks for all your help."

All I was hoping for was a clarification of the use of a capacitor that was different from what was detailed on the schematic diagram. Here was his retort:

"I find it interesting when a college-degreed Electrical Engineer tells someone something technical and they are not too sure if it is correct or not."

I'll allow others to determine whether or not that was helpful. And by the way, my name is not Alice and I have never before purchased anything from Vakits. As I clearly stated in my first post, this kit was given to me as a gift.
