Firstly the 'good' part, EMAIL contact with customer service was actually quite quick; that they are bound hand and foot by the RIPOFF rules made by management isn't their fault. I actually feel SORRY for anyone working for SportsDirect.
I ordered an item (5 of) and when I received them, they were NOTHING like the advert description. CS first response was they saw 'nothing wrong' till I sent photo's AGAIN of the items received and the photo on the advert. They then offered to accept a return. But the return costs they would only pay back with a CHEQUE!
A CHEQUE anno 2017!
In Holland (where they sold it to), a UK check has less use than toilet paper, but honestly, who in heavens name uses CHEQUES any more. On the continent no-one's used chequebooks for more than 15 years... that's back in the banking prehistoric times. I personally haven't used one for more than 25 years.
It's no wonder Brexit Brits want to isolate themselves from the rest of the world. Pull up the drawbridge and go back a few centuries.
There was no way to explain to them that the rest of the world uses things such as Credit Cards, Internet Banking, PayPal etc etc where it's EASY to transfer payments instead of a WORTHLESS PIECE OF PAPER WITH A SIGNATURE!
It's obvious that with an electronic payment the money IS actually payed back, with a cheque they have the possibility that some don't/can't cash it.
Just a COWBOY company.
BEWARE!
