I played LoL for years come back after a hiatus to find out my LoL account doesn't exist its all RIOT accounts now.
So I try and recover my account but the normal support options send me in an infinite loop to nowhere with no solution further than pressing the "forgot your password" button.

So I open a ticket with RIOT support explaining my issue. They ask me a BUNCH of questions, Summoner name, City and state where account was created, What was the first 3150/4800/6300/7800 BE/IP champion that I bought, what was the first Skin I bought? A lof of stuff to remember from a 6-8 year gap. I do my best to answer their questions but honestly who can remember all that. After talking with support for a week and getting passed off to literally 4 different customer service reps (I cant stress this enough they literally would email me each day from a different person "oh hey its $#*! McCheese taking over now!") they keep asking me the same questions repeatedly:
- The birthdate you used when you signed up for the account:
- First 3150/4800/6300/7800 BE/IP champion
- First skin purchase:
- Any previous summoner names for this account?
- Do you have any alternative accounts? If so, please provide the username and summoner name:
- City and Country where you created this account:
- Name of champion or skin you refunded:
- Gifts you've receive/sent from/to whom:

I had already explained multiple times this was years ago, and my memory on these questions was anything but clear, but they continues to press these questions saying If I was unable to answer them accurately to the information they found they would have to close my ticket. I have begged them for about 2 emails now to let me verify my Identity from the purchasing information on the account so this can be over with but they Ignore my request every time.

So this much is clear, They found my old account from the information I provided them, but because I was unable to answer their specific questions with accuracy BECAUSE THESE THINGS HAPPENED YEARS AGO they will not help me recover my old account. I have again pleaded with them to let me verify my identity through Driver licenses, Birth certificates, debit card information but it seems to be ignored every time, they don't even acknowledge that I am saying I can prove my identity they just keep repeating their questions.

I am extremely disappointed with RIOT games customer service, not only are their account recover methods archaic, quite frankly I would imagine these to be wildly inaccurate for people like myself who want to play all the characters, and spend a decent amount of money in their game.

So now the hundreds of possibly thousands of dollars I gave to RIOT will go down the drain, because of their unwillingness to help resolve the issue. They probably would prefer if I just made a new account and paid more money for more skins, but I wont be doing that. I will be boycotting their company and spreading this information around for others to be weary of the lack of technological practicality in the year 2020. PATHETIC
