"Absolutely worst customer service I have ever seen in my 50 years on this earth. If you have an inherent desire to be stressed, frustrated, and talked down to by customer service representatives I strongly suggest you order through American Muscle. If you want a good shopping experience do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There are plenty of other places that offer comparable pricing and free shipping.
There was a particular set of wheels that I wanted from American Muscle but they consistently showed "Out of Stock" with ETA "Unknown". It had shown this for 2 months before I finally called and asked if they were discontinued. The CSR I reached told me they were still available and they had some coming in in 2 1/2 weeks. He suggested that I place a set on order to make sure I got on the list, I did. 3 weeks went by and still "Out of Stock" ETA "Unknown", so I called to ask for a status on my order and a young female CSR told me that I "needed to learn some patience". I was not rude, pushy or otherwise unpleasant with her, that was just her response to my asking for a status. I called back the next morning and reached another CSR and explained what had happened the evening prior and he said he would put a note in the computer and have a manager contact me with a status. Later that day I was contacted by a manager, another female, and she told me that she had no status and if that wasn't good enough she would cancel my order right then. I didn't want my order cancelled I just wanted to know when I could reasonably expect my wheels.
Months went by and finally an ETA showed up on the website "7-8 weeks". And it started, I watch the ETA count down from 7-8 weeks, to 6-7 weeks, to 5-6 weeks and so on, all the way to 1-2 weeks. I get an email saying that my wheels would be in in 1-2 weeks. Then I get an email that said the TPMS sensors that were needed to mount my new wheels were "Out of stock" with an ETA "Unknown". What? I have waited months for these wheels and now the TPMS sensors are out of stock. So I called and asked if this would hold up my order. The young lady that answered the phone when I asked snipped her tongue and sighed very loudly and told me that "All of my items were in stock and I would get my wheels next week".
I waited, took the week off because I wanted to be here when the wheels finally got here and work on my car, and then the status changed to "Out of Stock" ETA "Unknown". I called and was told that they filled the back orders and my name was next on the list. They couldn't send my wheels for... get this 2 1/2 weeks. So I asked her if the cycle just started all over and she said yes.
Not sure if they had flagged me in the system for being dumb enough to ask for a status but something isn't right. I have since called and actually cancelled my order because I can't deal with the stress involved in associating myself with American Muscle and was told by Jared on 12-1-15 that I would receive an email confirming the cancellation. I have not received any such email so far. I am done with American Muscle, and if you are smart you would be too.
On a different note, I called another website right after I asked that my order be cancelled with American Muscle and ordered a set of wheels. Guess what, my news wheels just showed up. Took a whole 3 days and the person I spoke to was super nice."
