This site bills itself as getting paid to fill out marketing surveys. Theoretically, once you build up 500 points, you get five whole dollars. Surveys range drastically from maybe 20-150 points each (most are 30-50 and a rare one is much higher) and range roughly 10-20+ minutes each. When you first sign up, you need to fill out a long questionnaire - in theory to use when qualifying you for a survey. Instead, you are given survey options that you might be qualified for, only based on age and country of residence. Then you fill out all the same questions. After about 5 minutes of answering the same questions, all over again, possibly twice, or some over the top, ridiculous prove-you're-not-a-robot-tests, to eventually be told you do not qualify for the survey and then they give you maybe 1-5 points. I think I have probably attempted to fill out maybe 25 surveys so far, and do not think I've qualified to finish a single one. Even if I had qualified, when I do the math, I'd probably have to spend easily 150-200 minutes of time in surveys for that $5. There is an entire complicated system of rewards, where you can, over time, earn more points, maybe get double points, and reach different levels, but god knows how many you need to actually fill out, AND qualify for before you could come close to any sort of rewards system. Guessing you'd need to spend maybe 5 or 6 solid hours of survey time to get close. Originally, I read an article that mentioned the site, implying you would get paid for $5 per survey. Obviously, that was a misleading article. And obviously this site is a MASSIVE waste of time. I am guessing they are, indeed, just collecting and selling your information. I can't think of any other reason they would bother. I have a feeling I keep getting disqualified because my business does not produce high enough revenues, but why would someone making several hundred thousand dollars a year bother to waste all their time for $5? I do not know that it's a true scam but it's certainly seems to be quite a joke.

Overall, it's a good concept, but I've probably used this app for the last time. In the olden days, their "trust and support fee" was very fair and reasonable. But now it's like 35%. Customer service is seldomly an option. You have to write an email, but they're difficult to get in touch and rarely respond to inquiries when you need help or an answer. Using the chat rarely gets you live help and sometimes they respond to emails and sometimes they don't. Like I contacted them 4 times and they only answered the first time. There is no phone number. I think 35% for a platform with such poor customer service, is unreasonable - especially given their biggest job is computers processing payments and them just deducting more fees. I hired someone to help move some furniture. The labor for this last job was roughly $70. There was a truck rental fee for $87. The service fee on the $70 labor was $28, so with the fees it totaled $191. The fees are just on the labor (I think?) But the real kicker was when I tried to send a tip the only way to do it is to choose from 5 options: no tip, 10%, 15%, 20% or 25%, ON THE TOTAL! Why no custom percentage and no custom dollar amount options? I was happy to tip 20% or even more, for the labor/Tasker, but not on the Taskrabbit service fees (obviously Taskrabbit thinks they deserve this tip) and a tip on the truck rental. The "help" section says "Taskers receive 100% of their tips" which probably means that Taskrabbit must keep the tip on their service fee and probably on the expenses and taskers probably just get the tip on the labor. I find this abominable and utterly lacking in integrity. What a massive scam. I highly recommend you look elsewhere or make sure if you use them, to tip the tasker directly with cash to avoid such ridiculousness.

Tip for consumers:
I'd give most tasker I've hired 4 or 5 stars but the company gets 0-1 star.

I cannot figure out if the problem is that they do not care or that they are incompetent, but probably both. I am a personal assistant. I have a blind client for whom I have been trying to get some sort of phone service set up. I chose Tello because his phone and data needs are very minimal and basic, and they have very flexible plan options. One of my biggest concerns was the logistics of setting up the account. The email and registration/account information would need to go through his fiduciary, but the SIM card would need to be sent to me to get everything set up, so I know that I entered my address for mailing. The registration process has several bugs. It let me enter my address and phone number for shipping, but kept carrying over the billing email. I kept trying to edit the information, and each time it made me re-enter all the billing information and would not change the email address. I gave up trying to change the email address since it still showed my address for shipping. I chose to spend an extra $5 for 2-3 day shipping. Of course they shipped it to the billing address(!) When I called to try to get them to overnight me a new SIM card they just refused. They initially refused to even upgrade to Priority shipping but eventually agreed like they were doing me some huge favor. They claim they cannot overnight anything. I don't know if their messed up site reverted the address to the billing one or if they just screwed up but they took no responsibility. For the replacement, I called them on a Friday. Then, the following Tuesday I got a USPS notice saying it would not arrive until Thursday. That is a full week! WTAF? Then I called again to see if they even upgraded the shipping. Even though "customer service" is 24 hours, they didn't even send it out until Monday! When I asked to speak with a supervisor to discuss this ridiculousness, there was none available. If this was for me, I'd just cancel and tell them where they can stick their SIM cards, but the flexible plan makes sense for this client, but I am livid. I am over this crappy company. There are so many other budget cell phone companies these days. Give someone else your business.

Tip for consumers:
Use a different company!

Direct TV (originally AT&T TV) is a truly horrible company. Their sales people lie. I was blatantly lied to when I signed up for service. Their customer service is a joke. They - including "the office of the president" - don't really give a crap. They made minor concessions like that should make up for my rate almost doubling, and being lied to. When I was was originally told the price I signed up with, was the regular price, it then turned out to be a promotional price. It was originally $59, which was for a mid-level package, and after a year, it jumped to something like $93. I specifically asked about this since it's part of why I left comcast. I would have never signed up. Some things about the actual TV service are decent but there are so many issues. For example, if you watch shows on-demand, they do something weird where they cut off the end. The end it maybe 15-30 second before the show is over. It's insanely annoying. Also, they often make you watch 6-8 commercials at a time, even when you just want to rewind because you missed something. And if the show is almost over and you try to rewind a bit, it often just end the show and starts playing the next episode. And even though I am not opting to watch shows in Spanish, sometimes it plays commercials in Spanish.
In addition, as a personal assistant, I have made probably a couple thousand of dollars of my time, trying to fix issues on behalf of clients.

Tip for consumers:
Use a different company.

I have no idea how these d-bags got ahold of my email address, but out of nowhere, starting about 4 days ago, I have gotten a like 10 emails every day from them and several of what I assume are their other fake companies, with job listings. I am not job searching! This is making me crazy! I have attempted to find out how they got my email address and never get any response.

Tip for consumers:
This is a scam company. Report their emails as spam.

Initially, I was a huge fan of Wix. I've had my site since 2015. The website design tool is highly customizable, which is extremely important. But in the last few months, they have made major changes in the messaging system with this "Ascend" garbage they have built into the site to use for your contact forms. It used to be that the initial contact from someone would go through the site, via your form, but now, the entire conversation, each email is getting routed through the site, and it only shows the most recent email - no string, which is F-ing annoying. They seem to think there is nothing wrong with that. WTAF? Recently a client sent me a project list, embedded into a link that was no longer a link after being routed through their site. And I have sent multiple email responses to clients that have never made it. It's like they are trying to put me out of business. Additionally, they used to have great customer service, but now they make it almost impossible to communicate with them to try to get help. Guess it's time to find a new option...
