Sometimes there is no substitute for going into a store and speaking with a knowledgable tech person. When we upgraded our main tv a few years back (old one quit right before Christmas, during peak gaming and viewing season) we wasted a pile of money on a useless cable (junk from China) we bought on Amazon. Thing promised to marry the interfaces, but it did not. (Sometimes it is difficult to figure out what you are buying online.) Guy at Best Buy helped us select the correct cable (he did kind of giggle at the thing we bought), and upgraded dvd player (no, we couldn't still use the old one like we'd been promised). Have also been happy with online purchases from here. Lamented the loss of Circuit City, but Best Buy, in my opinion, has risen to the task.

Love the convenience and excellent prices. They have most of what I want, and the shipping is usually very fast. Downsides: I have had several extremely poorly packed orders, resulting in breakage, and a couple of orders when I received the wrong item. (we order a lot). On the upside, Customer Service is great and fast, and rectifies the situation promptly! (My other wish is that some of the pet food items like cases of cat food could be purchased in slightly smaller quantities. 24 cans of the same flavor of premium kitten food is risky at best (retail stores stock 6 can packages of the same food). Cats are fussy; I'd love to be able to buys more varieties of food in smaller quantities, so for that reason (and supporting local business), I continue to frequent several of my local stores as well.

Great American grown products, great employee-owned company. No other flour is allowed in our home! We bake a lot. We use their cake flour, white flour, white whole wheat flour, wheat gluten and more.

This store has managed to turn a frequent customer ($100-$300 month) into someone who almost never shops there anymore. Here's how:

1. Quality of products has declined year on year.
2. Website: more than half of my promised orders were cancelled after I paid and items were confirmed in stock; suddenly, days later, they were out of stock, and my order cancelled, so that I had to scramble to find replacement items (especially for gifts).
3. Inability to return items: Received defective item; spent 30 minutes trying to talk to someone in the Philippines about how to return it. Rep's initial response, "You can't." Another friend was shipped WRONG item - a swimming pool. Told that the ONLY way she could return it was to bring it back to a store. Pool did not fit in her small car! I also had trouble retuning something I bought online, 1 week after it was shipped- I had bought multiples, but Target's system only let me return one item; system would then claim item had already been returned, even though I had receipt to prove multiple items purchased.
4. Coupons (both their annoying in-store text variety and paper coupons) almost never work. Always end up shrugging off the rip-off.
5. Credit card: the only one that always seems to claim that the payment is "late." And then, after much fuss, will begrudgingly refund a small portion of the late fee. Then I didn't use the card for a little while. The checkout woman basically cajoled me into using it, only to have it be declined (in front of a line of other shoppers -embarrassing!) "Oh, if you don't use it for like 6 months, they cancel it," she says. Nice of Target to let me know beforehand. I received no notice that my card was cancelled. Good thing I didn't really need to use it!
6. Deaf ear. One would think that a "valued customer" who cancels his/her email relationship in disgust, and has made several complaints online and in store might be contacted for follow-up. Nope. Target doesn't care and doesn't need my business. I have found other sources for the products I need.

Ordered a standard, non-customized, supposedly "in-stock" item as specified by my doctor's prescription. Paid and received confirmation. Order showed "processed" (as in packed and ready to ship) for several days. After nine days, started to wonder, so requested tracking number. Not only was there no tracking number, but I was told that the item is indefinitely backordered. (The company's site expressly promises that clients will be contacted in the event of a backorder; I was never contacted via any means). Since the medical procedure is imminent, I scrambled to purchase a replacement, and asked compressionsale to cancel my order. No go. They keep claiming (in poor English) that they can't cancel the order. I have asked them to explain how an order can be both status "processed" (packed and ready to go) and "backordered." No one seems to have a strong enough command of language to answer this. All they can tell me is that they won't cancel my order or refund my money. I am amazed that this company is allowed to do business; I now see Myriad complaints with regards to their transactions. Report them to the FTC and your credit card company if you have had a similar experience!

Tip for consumers:
Report to FTC, BBB, and credit card company. This company is taking advantage of seniors and disabled people, and needs to be shut down. There are 29 complaints on BBB alone.
