Beef Bourguignon with Ketchup
I'm not sure what it does is legal. This website conglomerates the leading headlines from the different local online news outlets onto one page, then displays them as links on headlines.
It is very helpful, because it saves you the time of moving from site to site trying to decipher which stories are leading in the country. From just the glance of one page, you can avoid all the unnecessary marketing messages, sideshows, and top-up stories that normally fill the other news sites
They are the best online store for electronics in Kenya. They have a very wide selection of products as well as brands. I doubt if there's any mass market electronic they don't stock. I haven't purchased other household products, so I can't comment on that
Best jobs site in Kenya so far
Mpasho is an improvement on its affiliate the-star.co.ke.
Good stories, but not really much news. It would have done OK were it not for the same cliche gimmicks of "click through the top 10 reasons why blabla... number 7 will shock you".
It shouldn't matter at all that it is partly owned by the notorious spinster Caroline Mutoko
So far this is the best website of its kind. If you log in even once, it will consume at least an hour of your time. It has some of the best stories and reports. It also has articles concerning daily life of youth in Kenya and West Africa. The life lessons on in here are priceless. I promise, you won't be able to log out. Big Up omgvoice
Disappointingly mediocre entertainment news website. Most of the stuff in here is idle pedestrian gossip about local celebrities no one cares about. Plus they use annoyingly prehistoric gimmicks to get you to try reading their content.
This site is a disgrace to other entertainment news sites
This is by far the best news site in Kenya. It is actually the market leader. The reporting is very objective and informative. Number 1 source for East African news. This is what I'd recommend for any Kenyan anywhere in the world wanting to know about what is going on in the area code 254. Keep it up Nation Media
The Star would do well if only it improved on its self-esteem. They have the resources and talent to be the market leaders in the print media field, but they relegate themselves almost to the level of the bottom-level gutter press. They don't take themselves seriously enough. It is like they are torn between being political/national news reporters and being sports/entertainment reporters.
Even from their website it is often hard to tell what the leading headline is
This is the most rewarding website in Kenya, in all senses of the word. The leading sports betting site in Africa, even statistically. They are the sponsors of the English Premier League team Hull City. They're also Southampton FC's betting partner. SportPesa pays millions in winnings every day. The sensation has taken over Kenya and the entire sub-Saharan Africa by storm.
And they are just getting started.
They got my phone delivered right to my doorstep within 24 hours. I couldn't believe it
Good entertainment site. It does not have many of the annoying gimmicks jamming ghafla.co.ke
The articles seem mature and believable, especially in the manner that they are almost all positive and not desperate to attention-grab.
They bring some sanity to the Kenyan showbiz reporting.
The reporting is objective and informative, but the formatting and design of the content in the articles is not very professional.
Maybe they shouldn't post so many links on the home page, making the site look like a classifieds' page on a local newspaper.
They also don't seem to realize that certain news items take precedence over others. They have sports stories at the top and leading political news at the bottom. In a similar manner, international news should not be given priority over local news. We know where to go for international news. You can't compete with them. So stop kissing their behinds.
Plus the yellow they have on TV does not look too good on their website.
My verdict is that CitizenTV are struggling to replicate their success in TV onto online media
