The website and checkout process are carefully set up to obscure the fact that you're NOT buying single items, but are in fact signing up for "subscriptions" that will spontaneously take large chunks of money out of your bank account without warning. I bought a nativity piece and and Armor of God statue for my mom for Mother's Day. They were BOTH subscriptions - the nativity, I let slide. Whatever. It's fancy looking and Mom likes it. The first shipment was Mary and baby Jesus (again the website is VERY unclear) and that's when we figured out they were going to ship the other nativity pieces as they were produced. Fine. But today another little bronze soldier showed up - Long AFTER $111 dollars disappeared out of my bank without so much as an email from Bradford Exchange announcing the impending charge. He's going back. And trust me, Hell will freeze over, and the devil will be giving free sleigh rides before I ever order anything from the Bradford Exchange again.

We've been to lots of escape rooms, but the Secret Chambers is the best. Every room has been creative and enjoyable, and the staff members are friendly and supportive. They're generous with their hints but don't ruin the fun for you. I will say the Pirate Room (it was the first one we did) had more locks than I like in an Escape Room - but they've remodeled and updated it since then. The Train Heist is amazing and very high tech. My favorite Escape Rooms are multiple-room set-ups and the last two from Secret Chambers have been like that. (So was one they retired - the Cthulhu Room - my friends and I still talk about that one.) We're planning on doing another next month. Atmosphere is very important for an immersive experience, and Secret Chambers has the art of atmosphere down cold. They get you in without excessive waiting, and give you plenty of time for photos (with optional props) when the escape is complete. So many Escape Rooms are a waste of time and money. If you're looking for a first-time Room that's going to get you hooked, go to Secret Chambers. If you're a veteran who's fed up with overpriced/poorly executed rooms, then go to Secret Chambers. Long story short: go to Secret Chambers

  • AT&T

2/25/20

My family has been with AT&T for a decade. The service to the neighborhood where my family home is located has been getting steadily worse for years. It's an older neighborhood and AT&T has informed us that they're not going to "waste" money on improving service to it. (Never mind that it's a popular choice for young families and business people who want to live near the city. AT&T can't be bothered to DO anything but insult their customers.) Most recently, my parents got an Apple TV, happily expecting a new world of entertainment to open before them. But that didn't happen. The internet service can't support streaming movies. Not just 4K movies. ANYTHING made after 1974. A week ago, my mother couldn't even get the old Magnum PI show to stream. My brother and I did everything we could. Turned off all other electronics on the network. Rebooted the Apple TV. But the service for this neighborhood is just useless - well below the National average. (Upload 1.7 Mbps and Download 23 Mbps - for a wired connection with nothing else in the house connected to the wifi.) AT&T, going the extra mile as always, ALSO charges TWICE their competitor's rates for their record-breakingly poor service. My mother, after much encouragement from my brother and myself, decided to call the customer service number. I wish she remembered the name of the creep she talked to - at least SHE talked - he bullied, intimidated and insulted her. She called me upset that there was nothing she could do do improve the service and if she tried to cancel the U-Verse (the television package) the "man" on the phone said they'd take away MOST the Internet as well, and my parent would get charge for any overage. The irony in his threat (as if the internet service could get worse!) was lost in my overwhelming rancor at his abusive language. Decisions have been made. My parents are switching to Spectrum, and my brother is going to handle the switch for them. As for me, I'll see it snow in Texas in July before I EVER do business with AT&T, or let a friend, relative, or passing acquaintance do the same. Bottom line: The. Worst. Customer. Service. Ever. If there is ANY other provider in your area, go with them. Avoid AT&T like the plague they are, until/if they get their act together and decide to treat their customers with respect, instead of trying to rob them blind.

  • Pop Fit

2/9/20

For anyone out there wondering if Pop Fit is a legit company, and if their leggings are all they profess to be - I say YES. Yes they are. I ordered two pair, one with LOTS of cut outs and one with pretty little ones at the ankles (very "ballet inspired.") Then I obsessively checked the tracking information every day, waiting for them to arrive. I'm a tall gal, 5' 8" (mostly leg) and a size 8. I ordered a medium and the fit me like a glove. Easily the most comfortable and stylish leggings I have EVER purchased. The seams really are stitched flat and smooth, like they say they are, (important for us ladies with delicate skin). And the pocket are right next door to miraculous. They hold my new iPhone. Can confirm they also hold snacks. The waist is TRULY high - sitting just under my ribs (again, I have a shirt torso) but I like it that high, because is make make my tops "skim" over my hips - no muffin top! On the rare occasions I've wanted a shorter rise, the waistband folded over easily and comfortably. I can't wait to buy another pair. I think I'll go for a bright color this time. And I'm buying my Mom a pair for Valentine's Day. One final note and I'm done: representation really DOES matter. Seeing women of all different shapes and sizes in the ad is why I took the plunge and made my first order. I believe in the importance of fitness and living a healthy lifestyle, but that looks different for everyone - Girls, we're all beautiful, and we all deserve to feel comfortable in our own skin, and fabulous in our leggings.

Buyer beware! I ordered the Armour of God sculpt. It was advertised for $109 or 3 easy payments...
