My wife and I were told up until one week before our Closing that we were going to get a specific type of mortgage. Then we weren't... Just like that. This had been going on for 11 months and our Loan Officer (he was fired) continued to tell us we had the loan taking us out of the market of searching for another bank to offer us an interest-only mortgage loan.

By the time we were told they would not give it to us, we had no choice but to accept their alternative which costs us almost 50% more. Stay away from Bank America!


I purchased one of their industrial wall mounted fans (16") less than 30 days before a sale that literally reduced the price by almost 50%. It went from $98 down to $53! So I called the store manager at their Jacksonville location. His name was Glenn.

I explained the situation and he was very curt with me. Basically, he said "Every company in America has the right to run their business as they see fit. We are a privately run company." Wow, Glenn. Relax. He went on to tell me that they do not honor a sale price if you've already purchased the item prior to the sale. So I asked even if it has been less than 30 days? He said that's correct.

So that's good for all of you to know. This is a privately owned company and they can do whatever they want. Just ask Glenn. So I will now go to a publically run company such as Home Depot or Lowes or Ace for my future tool needs. You might also want to do that, too.


Commissioned sales people fail to follow up on order issues. Call after call to their individual extensions are never returned. So why give your customer a direct line?

These commissioned sales people will not intervene in another sales rep's order and so you are then forced to seek help from non-commissioned personnel. Each time you call you have to first go through a commissioned person to then hopefully get to a non commissioned person willing to help you. You get passed from one person to another until you literally have a roster of names!

Stay away from this firm. I blame executive management for fostering this type of system among their staff. This not my job attitude is terrible.
