Finally! A privacy-based social site that's actually good! What first drew me to the site was their stance on privacy. Almost immediately after signing up I realized that this site really has potential. I think Ravetree is kind of new, and they are still building up their user base, but it looks like there are a decent number of people using the site. One of the nice things is that it doesn't even matter if you add "friends" to the site because they have some very useful features (calendar, file storage, notes, etc.). The only thing I hope will change is that more people will discover this site. I highly recommend Ravetree. Maybe this is because I'm a staunch advocate of privacy on the web, but I think anyone will find the site useful.
