I am a long term repeat customer with Lamps Plus, have ordered thousands of dollars worth of lighting fixtures. I have been extremely happy until I had the unfortunate experience of having to deal with their customer service.
Fedex lost an expensive ceiling fan (approximately 3 months ago.) I quickly reached out to FedEx and they admitted fault, they recommended I reach out to Lampsplus for a refund.
Lampsplus disregarded the claim number FedEx had provided me and insisted they perform a personal "tracer" investigation. After almost 2 months they came back saying they would need additional time to process the claim and provide a refund. The customer service representatives were always hit or miss, some would be somewhat helpful and some were flat out rude. I would have to hound them to continue to move forward with the process of getting a replacement or refund. They would never proceed to the next step unless I called them.
When they were on the final step and about to process my refund they sent a final email stating they would not proceed with issuing a refund. After three (3) whole months that's your solution? After FedEx admitted fault on their end but you refused to take my claim number? I could have filed a claim with my bank immediately and the issue would have been resolved much quicker.
You lost a good customer Lamps Plus, I love your its but your poor excuse of customer service is your downfall. I will be seeking alternative vendors for my home lighting/decor from now on.
