HI Christopher, I do apologize. Recently, we’ve noticed that our competitors have introduced and implemented this tool, used as a means of allowing their upfront display prices on various online advertising channels to appear more competitive. As we know, when a company advertises at a lower price, there is increased traffic to their website. Upon the realization that this strategy was being used, we at Contact Lens King stood firmly against applying such a practice. However, in spite of the fact that we offer the lowest bottom line prices, we experienced a decrease in traffic and total orders. Through re-evaluation, and despite our discomfort, we have made the tough decision to adopt the practice as well. Contact Lens King is firmly committed to offering the lowest bottom line prices online, and we want our customers to rest assured that through us, you will always see significant savings in your pocketbook - even with the fee.
We totally understand that this additional fee can be frustrating, or even infuriating, but we invite you to compare our bottom line prices with our competitors. We promise we won’t disappoint you!

Simple Tire should change the company name to Brutal Tire. Admittedly prices and specials are fair, but may possibly be an indication of you get what you pay for in the end. Placed my order, scheduled a convenient time with a local installer. My tires shipped via FedEx with a projected delivery window to meet my appointment needs. As soon as my tires shipped, uh-oh... SimpleTire contacted me to advise that time slot was not available. Now, tires are held captive by FedEx enroute to the installer and can not be reconsigned to another installer or my residence. SImple Tire installer is now unable to accommodate for another week. I already took a day off from work and now will need to request a second day off for the next appointment. Any effort to contact customer service is futile, never able to speak with a live agent to try to remedy the scheduling issues. There is no communication between Simple Tire and the installer, so everything is a complete surprise to them when you show up at their location.

Fast forward to install day... I arrive at 845 am and advise staff I will be waiting. In the meantime, no less than three other customers that arrived after me are in and out ahead of me with far more involved repairs than simply removing and replacing four tires. After three hours of waiting I stepped out for some coffee and eventually made my way back home to wait. Take note, my install was prepaid with my tire order. Money is already in the installers pocket. My work should have been prioritized due to that fact. Six hours layer I get the call my vehicle is complete. Upon arrival to retrieve my vehicle I am presented with a $112 invoice for the installation which was prepaid with my order. Now staff is trying to contact Dealer Services in an effort to verify installation was prepaid. Simple Tire fails to answer the phones for several minutes. Finally, contact customer service that s unable to make a determination on the bill and needs to call back.

All in all, good prices if you have the time and patience to deal with nonsense. This was my first experience and will never use this service again. If you should venture down this route, I would recommend having tires shipped to your residence and find your own installer that can meet your needs. Once again, that is a huge hassle, just support your local tire shop, most will meet the advertised prices anyway.

My wheel order was shipped to my installer as requested. However, the free mounting hardware kit containing the lug nuts failed to ever be shipped. Meanwhile, my vehicle is at the installer to swap tires onto new wheels, but without any hardware. After a 30 minute hold forthe "offshore" customer service on a Thursday that I would need to wait 24-48 hours for approval to ship the missing items by overnight UPS service. I was advised that the weekend did not apply to the 48 hours needed to wait, so the earliest I may get the parts is the following Tuesday. This is unacceptable due to an error on CarID's behalf. Item should have been sent out without question Thursday afternoon. Upon suggestion that I would purchase my own lug nuts reimbursement was denied. Waited patiently for an update on the following Monday and never received any communication. After another 15 minutes on hold I was lied to and told the parts were shipped and they provided a UPS tracking number which happened to be one of the original wheel tracking numbers from a week prior that I already received. Ultimately, after a series of lies the parts finally shipped on Tuesday and were then misrouted by UPS for another day of delays and a vehicle out of service for nearly one week. I originally decided to make my purchase from CarID based on the fitment guarantee for the wheels, providing the install hardware free of cost and hoping for less inconvenience would justify the nearly $70 in shipping costs. Shop around, the other big players in the aftermarket wheel business provide free shipping, but no installation hardware.

Save yourself some grief and take your business elsewhere. This was my first and last experience with CarID. I will give my business to a company that cares about customer satisfaction.

UPDATE: CarId offered a $20 Gift Card as an incentive to 'buy' a better review. My time and effort are worth more than $20. It would still not change the fact that the customer service is more than appalling on all levels. Keep your $20 and buy coffee and donuts for your remedial customer service training class.
