I've bought many things from Geekbuying, Banggood, and Gearbest, because they appeared cheap, although never again. The items are often poor quality, broken, wrong, or never arrived. I wasn't worried because every item I bought was through PayPal. Whereas, the sellers have been uncaring, and unwilling to do anything, Paypal refunded me on every occasion, with no fuss at all, and contributed £15 each time for the return postage, when needed. All the Chinese sellers didn't want to do anything for bad sales, although I found Banggood to be the worst of the lot, with ridiculous barriers like sending photos of both the postage label, the damaged item, and a video of the fault, even if it's not relevant, for example, how do you send a video of a non working light bulb? Anyway, because of Paypal, I can bypass their stupid demands, and get a easy refund. I've been using Paypal for over 6 years, and have never had a problem with them, and I've purchased about 400 items, the dearest being £1100. Unlike Banggood, I don't work for Paypal, all good comments for Banggood is done by their staff. My advise, only use Paypal when buying from Chinese sites, for protection the sellers won't give

14 months ago, I had a bad water leak, which ruined by fully equipped bedroom and ensuite in France. Lucky for me, it was in my next door house which I used for my visiting friends and relatives, and it was disused at the time. It was insured with Allianz France regrettably, and it took them a full 2 months to inspect the damage, of which the ceiling came down, the walls ruined, black mould set in, and all my expensive contents, broken, and ruined. The female agent, who didn't actually talk to you, but in a argumentative tone, seemed to agree with most of the claim, but thought I should have dragged the sodden bed mattress outside to dry. What was the point, it was soaked with dirty water, and it would take 10 days for it to dry (we never get more than 3 days without rain), and then all it would be fit for is to burn, it can't be cleaned. When my brokers contacted me, they said I would get nothing for my contents, because I didn't take enough action to save them, and they only agreed to a small proportion of the builder's costs. I asked them to explain to me what, and how I could save my furniture. I then got an email agreeing to pay half my contents of my then 3,000 contents claim, at 1030 euros, and was paying that amount into my account. Where did they learn to count? I seemed to hit a brick wall, my brokers did nothing, and I couldn't contact Allianz. I then got lucky, and contacted Allianz UK, after being shunted around a few times, I came across Roy Exton, head of Allianz international claims, and a really nice man. He got Allianz to send another agent around, and not only did he agree to everything, but spotted building work I hadn't claimed for. Allianz agreed to pay for the full building work, and give me 2000 euros for my contents. The content bill actually by then rose to 4,600 with other items I hadn't initially spotted. Again, they were not paying the vast majority of the replacement costs, using the same excuse. I asked the to tell me what I could have saved, but they didn't bother to reply. It's a bull$#*! excuse to avoid paying the full costs, and I reminded them it took their original agent 2 months to turn up, they're useless. This had dragged on for 14 months and counting. So whilst you think you are insured with Allianz, you're only partly. I have seen many other instances of Allianz's use of fake excuses to not pay out, they're a micky mouse company, avoid them, use a reputable insurance company.

The scammers, which are most of them, are situated in the African countries. The Ghanaian scammers speak English, the Ivory Coast, only French, and many other African countries. They use photos of models they stole from the internet, and even videos, to make it look like they're talking to you. They always say they are borrowing a webcam, so they don't repeat the process. They often claim to be in a European country, but make up some excuse to be in Africa. It doesn't take long for them to claim they're in love with you, and in their description, claim to be against racism. It doesn't take long before they start asking you for money for different reasons, don't give any, they always want it sent by Western Union, so they can claim it by fake ID. Some will claim they have inherited gold, and offer you half, if you pay them the death duty money, to release it. They even provide you with a couple of pictures of the gold, even though they're both clearly different. You even get an English speaking African phoning you, claiming to be the client's solicitor. They often provide videos, and photos of the fake person wit fake person, with little or no clothes on. The funny thing is the photos they use are often repeated, but using different names. I never came across on genuine person, and every single female (or claimed to be female) wanted money. When talking to a European one on SKYPE, say to them, "why does my browser say you're on the African continent", they often quickly vanish. They always make you talk to them using SKYPE, mostly not using a cam. Don't bother at all with this site, many lonely men have been fleeced for extremely large amounts.

I don't know who these people are (other than their own staff), claiming they were quick, or non delivered items were handled quickly, because they have a policy of making you wait 2 months, then they blame you for not paying extra to have it tracked, and you end up with getting Paypal for a refund. They send out cheap, non working rubbish, often with missing parts, or different to their ad. The service dept. is full of ignorant women, who doesn't know what they're talking about, lie to you, and make life extremely difficult in the event of a claim. Stay clear of them, they're actually worse than I am describing, only way to get refunds is through Paypal. As for all these people on this site, that are claiming Banggood was good, ask yourself this, who has ever gone to a site, other than the seller's own, to praise them. Absolutely nobody. They're staff, paid to lie, and why would they need to do that, because they are a useless, underhanded company. I have bought about 20 items from these crooks, because they seemed cheap (but never again), they all took a long time arriving (those that came), half worked (the cheaper items), some were faulty from the outset, some were completely wrong. They all had something in common, Paypal had to refund me, because they wouldn't. You can buy from them, you might be lucky, but I doubt it. Banggood are using this site to try and trick potential shoppers into buying from them. Whenever they get bad reviews, someone from Bangood will say some lies on how good they are, and have bought 1,000s of items from them without problems, that should tell you they're fake alone.
Let me tell you about Banggood, deliveries are extremely slow, on average 3 weeks (yet I bought items from China, regular post, coming in 9 days), when things go wrong, they want a photo of the postage label, which has already been disposed of, photos of the problem, and a video, whether it's relevant or not. They do not pay return postage, offer you a menial sum as compensation, even though the item is useless, and do their utmost to not refund you. If lost in post, you must wait 60 days, and even then, you have to use Paypal to get your money back. So anyone (Banggood employees) giving 4 to 5 stars, don't bother reading, they're fake,
Go to ebay, you get protection, sellers are scared of bad feedback, (Banggood aren't as worried), and often are cheaper than Banggood's promotions. I bought dog clippers from Banggood for 15 euros, the same ones on ebay were 11 euros.
Do you notice the pattern, every time there'e 3 or 4 honest bad reviews, Banggood will stick in 4 fake reviews praising them, sounding like a commercial advert. Banggood staff should be banned from this site, there's not one honest favourable review on this site.
