I hate compression lined shorts…they tend to hold the stink even after washing, bunch up under my shorts and most of all don't offer support, just an extra layer pressing my junk against my leg. These are the reason I go with a jock strap every time under my workout gear (lifting or running). The Nike jock gives me the right level of support with a very comfortable (soft) material…like your boys are being held by clouds. The support prevents my boys from hitting my legs or getting stuck as I develop a sweat. I also like the wide leg-straps, keeps everything in place that a gym rat would want.
