I recently purchased a Mustang for a fun hobby car. American Muscle is a site that seemed to come up often in search results for parts for my vehicle. I decided to take a look and see what they had to offer, site looked ok enough and I decided to give them a try on a small order as a tryout for future business, maybe larger parts orders. On Dec 23rd, 2019 I decided to pull the trigger and order a small billet part for my engine compartment. As of Dec 27th I still had not received a shipping confirmation, I called in to find out that the order is still "processing" and would not ship until Jan 2,2020, I find this disappointing & unacceptable, as other reviews here confirm American Muscle seem to be operating with an outdated mindset "we will get around to it when we feel like it" is the message I get from them. The singular item was "In Stock" when I placed the order and no mention of such a delayed ship date was made by the rep who took the order over the phone or communicated in any other way. In this technology fueled modern mail order business atmosphere dominated by Amazon and with everyone chasing them or they should be chasing them & emulating them, it is really bewildering that these smaller businesses seem to still have not figured out that Amazon is a logistics company, plain & simple, Jeff Bezos is now one of the richest men in the world mostly from figuring out logisitcs, Amazon makes very little of what they sell, yet they can get almost everything they sell to You in (2) days or less, even on weekends &/or specify exactly when You will receive Your items, AM doesn't get it. Anyways, I know this is really a first world problem, however, ordering from American Muscle has been a disappointing experience and I doubt I will be doing any further business with them.
