I had finished a survey on my phone for different company. For completing the survey the company allowed you to choose a "gift". I chose the "gift" of the free trail for these products. Just pay shipping it said! The link for the free trail DID NOT BRING ME TO THE PRODUCTS WEBSITE. There was no indication that the trail was any type of subscription (although I should have guessed) and that I would be charged in future months. If this was the case, I WOULD NOT HAVE AGREED.
The second month came but I did not recieve anything in the mail. I found out about this reviewing my bank transactions online. A charge for 84 and change, and a charge for 81 and change. $166 total. For something I know I did not agree to. I called the number listed for My Fit Resolution probably 60 times, with the line going dead and the line busy. It kind of felt like the company was purposely not available to cancel my subscription. I was ready to go to the bank to get a new card.
I finally found another number for the Prime Lean Diet which I was put on hold for a long period of time, and switched over to a supervisor because the first person I spoke with could not find my account. The supervisor had no problem with canceling my subscription. He did however have a big problem with my wanting of a refund. I spoke to him kindly and explained many times my situation. THE SUPERVISOR WAS RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. He actually told me I was "the most ungrateful customer hes ever spoken with", telling me over and over that I was told and should have read the terms and conditions and that it clearly states the cost per month of future transactions. I know people skim over terms and conditions, but I AM 100% POSITIVE that I WAS NOT INFORMED of the subscription costs. It was not part of the checkout procedure of my WONDERFUL GIFT. Again, I was not sent to the products website.
Also, the product doesn't even work. At the end of it all, I had to verbally agree not to take any legal action against the company in return for a 35% refund. Still had to pay $107. My tip to the public: don't bother with these products. They don't work, the company tricks you into subscriptions. I hope no one else has to endure this.
