FlexJobs.com is a legitimate website that posts flexible/remote jobs; it is not a scam. But do not expect great customer service if you call to speak to someone or utilize their chat box. I am speaking from experience. FlexJobs is not free. Customers have to pay and I think it is outrageous to charge people for a service and then be so unhelpful when customers have questions. There are other career websites that post flexible/remote jobs that are FREE and provide outstanding customer service. FlexJobs will have to re-train their staff and say to their staff "we are charging people and therefore need to provide EXCELLENT customer service." I wish I had known about the free career websites before I paid FlexJobs money. I am so disappointed. I do not recommend FlexJobs.
We have reached out to Catherine concerning this experience and her comments and she chose to not comment on her allegations above. Per our satisfaction guarantee, we did issue a refund of her account.
We do want to address the concerns that are posted in this comment about FlexJobs. We take your concerns with our customer service very seriously. We reviewed both contact points where the question was being asked. "What am I doing wrong to no to be hearing back from employers?"
We disagree that you received horrible customer service from either contact.
Unfortunately, the request was based on having us answer a question that we do not have the information to answer accurately. Both times a contact was made our client service specialists gave information on how to follow-up with employers and to consult the area of our site where this information is published from career counselors. Neither interaction was rude, short, or unhelpful and included trying our best to give information from the outside sources we recommend using to continue to assist her needs.
