I made my reservations months in advance to see both of my grandparents who are in seperate states in retirement homes. Needless to say not good circumstances for my travels. I printed out my confirmation pages for the location on Olive Street. Once we arrived I was told by Patrick the owner that my social security number was needed to run a background check as well as $100 deposit since I had booked with a debit card. I paid already by the way. No where in their terms and conditions, or in my confirmation did it state that. We had arrived 30mins before our pick up time only to be greeted with a not so great business owner, and then had to deal with this nonsense. After being told he needed my ssn I said no. I've been a victim of identity theft 3x now, and not once have I ever needed to give out my social for a rental car. He claimed that this was the policy regardless of the paperwork I was provided for my rental. My fiance inquired as to what he needed to avoid needing my ssn, and he said a major credit card. So we ended up trying to switch the payment type. However, instead of doing so Patrick started a new reservation under my fiance, and now we had 2 reservations we paid for. I let my fiance handle it as I called the 800 number for Budget to argue this situation, and got nowhere. My fiance talked to the 800 number to clarify the policy of running ssn, and they told him that it's the business owners personal policy. So you book online with the company, pay, and agree to terms, but when picking up the car are now notified of the owners personal policy? Never heard of such a thing. My fiance was also told to shut up by the business owner as well during their interactions while I was on the phone. The only thing good I have to say is about the 2nd call to the 800 line we were able to get my 1st reservation refunded. I would never recommend this rental company to anyone. We unfortunately had no choice but to do business with this incompentent business owner Patrick due to our circumstances and limited time in the area. When we finally did get our car it smelt like cigarette smoke, was dirty, and also had trash left in the trunk from the previous renter. I have photos to prove as well. I will continue to write these reviews so that others can save the time and hassel of dealing with this man Patrick and the company Budget Rentals.

On 9/16/15 I booked with an online company who works with Fligthcar. That company confirmed with Flightcar, took my deposit, and sent me email confirmation of the rental car I was supposed to have. When I arrived on 10/10/15 and followed the directions I had been given in order to pick up my car, I was notified by Flightcar that they cancelled my reservation, and that they rescheduled it with another company. I was not once notified of this change in the month prior to my trip no call no email. I had to find out the day I arrived and when pricing of rental cars was way up. My reservation was for no more than $40 and I ended up having to pay $160 for a car elsewhere. Not to mention the 3.5hrs I had to hangout at the airport trying to get a rental car figured out last minute on my day and a half vacation.

Then when I call and ask to speak with a manager to complain no one was ever in. The excuses I received from their employees were ridiculous, and one even told me they rescheduled at a new location out of courtesy for me(ANNA). NOT! Courtesy for me would have been contating me and letting me know of the changes well in advance to give me the opportunity to check elsewhere. Then the next excuse I was given was that they didn't have any of my contact information. The funny thing is that when you are working with another company (Economybookings.com) they have all of that informtion for you.

Regardless of whatever excuse they gave me there was no excuse to cancel my reservation without my knowing. Please do not waste your time booking a thing through this company here. It will be a complete waste of your time, and when you arrive for your stress free vacation be prepared to not have your car there and stress out.

I don't even want to give any stars. This was a complete joke. I made my reservation 9/16/15, received email confirmation, and on 10/10/15 when I arrived at my destination I called the company my rental was through (Flightcar) and was told that it was cancelled and transferred to another company. All done without not only my permission, but I was never even contacted to be told it was transferred. I had to find out the day I got there, and the transfer was to a company that wanted to now charge me $180 for my rental instead of the $37 my email confirmation was for! If I knew this was going to happen I would have searched for another rental well before being there! Then when I called to complain the people there literally refuse to ever let you speak with a manager. Not only did you guys collect money from me for the rental, you failed to tell me that my rental was transferred, and killed a lot of the time I had there on my VERY SHORT birthday vacation. I had one day to be there and literally like 15hrs. I spent 3.5hrs locating a car when I arrived. I will make sure that I write this review on any review link I can find so that no one else will make the same mistake and utilize this useless company. Save yourself the hassel!

Update:
10/16 I had to go online to Paypal to dispute the charges since they had still not refunded my money like I had been told. I was able to get that refunded through them on Paypal though.

10/19 My response to this company through email went as follows (unfortunately though it's not a valid email cause it came back to me):
To whom it may concern,

I wrote a review about your company the other day on sitejabber.com and many others, and you posted a response asking me to email you my Booking # so that you may "look into it". Ironically when I went to check my email you managed to wipe that # off of the paperwork you emailed me so I will have to see what that # is when I return home, and look for it there.

I do however still have the voucher # B812... so hopefully you can look into it that way. Regardless I gave your company many opportunities to make this right, and you failed to do so hence all of the poor reviews on your company from me. I will not EVER utilize your company for anything so I don't feel there really is anything you can now do to change that.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THEY COLLECT PAYMENT AND HAVE NO CAR WHEN YOU ARRIVE.
