Been an amazon customer for years and was initially happy. Lately Amazon has really sucked. A lot of their product reviews are "bought" by the seller so you can't trust them. The quality of items has gone way down but the prices have gone up. Their delivery staff treat the packages like crap which I've witnessed several times. The drivers also park any where they want which means they obstruct access to driveways or double park and don't seen to care. Had a customer service experience today about a seller not fulfilling their refund agreement and the fellow I was dealing with was rude and extremely unhelpful. Wouldn't listen to what I had to say, wouldn't prove what he was saying was accurate and just ignorant. I cancelled my account and had it deleted, cancelled my Amazon credit card and went online to find a lot of sites that offer price comparisons that point you to businesses other than Amazon where you can save a lot more money. I highly recommend everyone move away from Amazon and see what else is out there because you will be happy you do.

Tip for consumers:
Move away from Amazon because they have gone downhill big time. Lots of other online shopping options out there that are better.

Recently I noticed 12 pending transactions on my credit card which was very suspicious. I called the company and found out that even though it was highly suspicious they approved the charge. Super frustrated so asked the customer service agent to enquire as to how they could miss such an obvious fraudulent charge. Was put on hold for a LONG time and all she came back with was sorry but they can't be expected to catch all the fraudulent activity. They set an alert for this activity but still put it through so they did catch it but someone was sleeping on the job and let the charge go through. I cancelled the card and closed the account because I can no longer trust that their security department is doing their jobs. It was a pain because I had this card set up as my main credit card so had to switch all my monthly payment plans. It also took ~35 minutes on hold to get to a customer service agent then was put on hold for a long time while the person enquired about the charge so the customer service is lacking a bit s well.

Tip for consumers:
When choosing a credit card ask about their security processes. This company obviously is lacking in security processes otherwise they would not have authorized the fraudulent charge on my card.

  • Popeye's

We tried Popeyes near Coquitlam Center last week and found the chicken and fries tasty. The gravy is strange so won't be ordering that again. The one thing that annoyed me was we ordered a 14 piece meal and there were 5 legs and 4 thighs which is WAY too many dark pieces. They only gave us one wing, one breast and the rest ribs which is disappointing. At least make it 50/50 white and dark pieces for the price because it's not cheap. Not sure we'll be back because I would imagine it would be way to expensive to get a few more white pieces in the meal.

Tip for consumers:
If you dislike dark meat don't order chicken buckets

Recently purchased several of their essential emergency kits as Christmas gifts. I was confused about one product and 72 hours was quick to respond to my question and very patient explaining the information. The prices are also the best I've seen for similar products so I highly recommend these folks.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure to read the details on the products you're looking at. I didn't read the information thoroughly which resulted in some confusion but totally my bad.

  • Big Fish Games

6/25/22

They have stopped producing any decent games and absolutely no TM games. I have asked for them to delete my account and all my personal details which they said they would. I confirmed it was my account then heard NOTHING from them. They advised they would do something but seemed to completely want to ignore my added requests of an update. I highly recommend staying away from these folks as they are not honest and the game quality you may pay for will be very low.

My husband spent a lot of time on a chat with a Shaw representative to work out a new 2 year contract in early August. An offer was made by the agent and my husband accepted the offer. We have a copy of the chat thread that proves the deal was authorized but my husband called about slow internet yesterday and the agent he was talking to said there was no ticket for the new contract terms. We provided the confirmation ID that allows other agents to see the details of the chat but Shaw is now saying the promotions have changed since we worked out the new contract and they're not sure they can still offer what was already given to us. My husband spent a lot of time on the phone yesterday trying to get what we were offered but at the end of the call the agent said they were still looking into it. What they have to look into is beyond me as it's VERY clear what we were offered, the total price for 24 months and our agreement to the new terms. We've provided proof of the deal so why are they being difficult?

Tip for consumers:
Make sure you follow up with them if you think you've made a deal on service because if not you'll be in the same boat as us which is fighting for what they offered.

  • Safeway

8/16/21

This has got to be one of the worst run Safeways in existence. Grumpy staff, limited products, out of stock on products quite frequently, dirty self check out stations and a lack of good customer service in the self check out area a lot of the time. The store isn't organized well at all either. You walk in to the produce/meat area then have to get to a whole different section of the store for the rest of your shop so if you forget something in the first areas it's a hassle getting back because you have to go around the pharmacy/bakery/seafood prep areas. No flow to the shopping experience. Safeway used to be a decent store to shop in but now that it's owned by Sobeys it's horrible.

Tip for consumers:
I don't recommend this location so my advice would be to go elsewhere if you value variety, good quality products, good customer service and a tidy self check out.

We enjoy the food from this location but several times we've ordered take out and found missing sauces when we got home :( Lemon for the lemon chicken a couple times and sauce for the shrimp foo young.

Tip for consumers:
Make sure if you have dishes that require sauces that you ask for confirmation they have been put in the bag.

I recently purchased the Stamina Earth gym flooring to finish my home gym. The product was exactly what I needed and looks amazing in the room. Patricia was quick to respond to my inquires and she and the rest of the crew at the shop were great to deal with on the day we picked the mats up. Patricia even threw in a portion of a mat at no charge so I wouldn't have to buy an entire sheet.

I highly recommend Canada Mats for flooring needs!

I've spent a good amount of cash purchasing items from fortnine and the first time I needed to return something the person I unfortunately had to deal with was absolutely no help. All she wanted to do was be condescending and argumentative. I misunderstood their return policy thinking it was supposed to be a hassle free no charge policy. They offer free returns but you have to pay for the return shipping label which is a load of steaming poop. I had just bought a new motorcycle so was just getting started on buying gear so over a stupid $7 charge for a printing label that I print out myself and I use my own ink and paper they lost thousands of dollars in sales. Doesn't seem like a smart move if you ask me and I had been thinking of telling my husband about their site but after the bad experience they've lost his business as well. Buy your gear from folks who actually care about their clients and have some sort of customer service or sense of customer care.
