After engaging within the constraints of vendor Customer Service a replacement cap was received via UPS. Why the initial screwup remains unanswered and ordering has to be tempered with other customer experiences.

Tip for consumers:
Overall positive ratings but many customers had issues with special team items, shirts, hats, etc. Weigh all aspects when ordering.

Mt initial complaint was incorrect order being shipped. I ordered a Decky Structured Cam Baseball Cap and was sent a Gildan grey t-shirt. Web site does not permit live customer service. Customers are forced to engage with an AI bot. The acknowledgement email does not address issue but is boilerplate.

Since this initial "surprise", I have checked other retail big box sellers and the same restrictions appear to be in effect. Accepting this limitation, buyers should be completely informed of this and can plan for the additional cost and do not open any connecting items.
However, I did not find this similar restriction with two local stores on delivery installation. It was strongly suggested to have new hoses, dryer power cord and non-plastic venting. Perhaps my situation was unique because I had recently replaced the various components from Lowes when remodeling the laundry room and to rebuy made no sense.
I went back to my local Lowes and found them willing to work with me. Again the issue is with the delivery/install process, outside service. Lowes gave me the needed 4" extender for the dryer and I declined the zero clearance venting. I went home installed the power cord, reversed the dryer door and inserted the vent. Unsure if a return call from the delivery/install would be made despite Lowes efforts.
Lowes again provided me a new set of hoses for the washer. Identical to the ones installed that was only 2 months old. A follow up call was made by another delivery/install team. They tried to hook up the washer, unsuccessfully. The previous washer was 19 years old, a Whirlpool and used an anti-siphon connection at the stand pipe. The replacement GE would not seal/connect at the standpipe. They recommended a straight replacement standpipe. In discussion they had no awareness of having a trap to prevent sewer gas from entering the home. It was obvious that their knowledge was very limited. Told thanks and terminated the visit. I called a local plumber who successfully addressed the standpipe hook up.

Mixed Experience

I am taking this opportunity to share my recent experience with the purchase of major appliances, washing machine and electric dryer from Lowe's. Reflecting on A Tale of Two Cities, "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of light, it was the season of darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair."
Lowe's has a very extensive selection of major appliances, basically all the major brands and the pricing structure is either equal to prevailing market sector competitors or at a saving through a sale and/or promotion. A visit to my local store, Bensalem, PA provided us a comprehensive inventory for inspection and selection. The sales associate was knowledgeable and helpful in narrowing down based on our needs and criteria on technology. We were advised that the delivery would include installation through a 3rd party vendor and that Lowe's discounted appliance parts with the major appliance parts.
I advised that my washing machine hoses were bought at this store and was less than two months old. EASTMAN 2-Pack 6-ft L 3/4-in Hose Thread Inlet x 3/4-in Hose Thread Outlet Stainless Steel Washing Machine Connector (Model # *******). There was no indication that this would be and subsequent install issue. I purchased a new Utilitech 3-Prong Gray Dryer Appliance Power Cord (Model # UTD*******) for the electric dryer and advised I have a zero clearance issue and am using a Lambro 24-in to 41-in Adjustable Periscope Dryer Vent (Model # L3006) previously purchased at this store and visual inspection indicates it is in perfect condition. Again I was not advised the 3rd party vendor would not install the electric dryer without the purchase of a new dryer vent.
The appliances were purchased on 5/30/2019 with delivery scheduled on 6/3/2019. Today has been a major consumer snafu with the delivery hassle, failure to install, unsuccessful telephone conversations with the 3rd party delivery service and a return trip back to the local store seeking a resolution, short of returning the appliances.
The delivery persons inspected the install location and immediately took exception with the dryer vent, despite inspection that it was clean in perfect working order. The next issue was with the relatively new stainless steel hoses. I even showed him the previous SS hoses sitting on my work bench. Not acceptable based on his instructions and contact with the delivery service office. He then indicated I needed another part, a Lambro 4-in Dia Aluminum Dryer Vent Extender (Model # L5003), because of the dryer offset on the back. I offered to drive over the local store and get the piece 10-15 minutes. Not acceptable because I wanted to use the existing dryer vent.
Recognizing, I was unable to reason with delivery an interim request was made to install the electrical wire and reverse the door panel from left to right: to right to left. I would go to Lowe's secure vent extender and complete the hook up. Again this was totally unacceptable to the 3rd party delivery service. Similarly I requested that they attach the drain hose to the washer and I would screw on the hoses. Again this was not acceptable. They started to "throw" the appliances back into the truck despite at least a dozen times my request to bring them into the house. Only after a major confrontation the appliances were brought into the house without installation.
This is a WARNING to any potential customers that are contemplating a major appliance purchase. I found Lowe's to have an excellent selection of products, knowledgeable sales associates, and very competitive pricing. But the delivery/install service is GROSSLY flawed. A review of the Internet reveals ongoing issues with Lowe's 3rd party service. The reality is that Lowe's has to find a new delivery/install service to remain viable in a competitive big box market place.
Potential buyers should be aware of Appliance Delivery, Installation and Haul Away and the restrictions imposed on the "free service" https :// www.lowes. Com/l/appliance-delivery-haulaway. Html? SearchTerm=appliance%20delivery
Common sense does not come into play, throwing away effective items, and incurring additional costs to satisfy the 3rd party delivery/installation insurable risk concerns. These add on cost is part of the purchase price when comparative shopping. Even more interesting is the 3rd party vendor's position the parts must be in an unopened packaging to be considered new.
How this is resolved remaining to be determined.

Readers can assess the challenges of dealing with this Internet seller, the rating should be no stars. In the last 12 months multiple items ordered and paid for were never received. Even when you paid for S&H to increase the possibility of receipt - no luck. Vendor provided Tracking Numbers cannot be traced back to any known shipping company. GB tells you to contact the seller for assistance and relief. The marketplace vendor tells you to contact GB and submit a Ticket for refund. The useless customer service function replies to the Ticket talking about extended shipping cycles, paid for delivery 15-30 days, 90 days later still lost in the Universe. The exchanges with customer service just loops without resolution. Paypal is also impotent in resolving the paid for but not received issue - referring you back to GB for a refund.

The issue is the lack of integrity in GB business operations through marketplace vendors. My orders involved items that were early sales at a good price for example iHealth non contact thermometer sold at $23.99 that is now being sold by the same vendor Lii 3C Store for $49.99. The price went up since August and they decided to take my money and sell the same item to another for double the price.

Take your business elsewhere the same products can be found through others Chinese sites as well as the big "A" who has off shore marketplace sellers with a reliable business model.

This commentary is being submitted on the business practices of eBay and PayPal that impact on individual (non- business) and home based merchants. I have recently experienced negative financial impact from a recent sales transaction. After extensive research, my experience is similar to thousands of their clients and involve millions of seller dollars worldwide held as pending and when released takes 3-4 business days to forward the money to the sellers bank account.

I am not an employee of any of the alternatives identified nor do I have any financial interests in any alternative identified. My objective is too high light some of the consortium activities and if legislative change cannot be obtained, sellers who cannot find other viable alternatives should recognize the financial impact.

As background in 2014, eBay announced the spinoff of PayPal as an independent company. In 2015 PayPal became an independent publically traded company. Notwithstanding the separation eBay still maintains a special priority for PayPal in the listing process as well as the payment cycle between buyer and seller.

EBay has an overly favorable standing for PayPal over viable alternative sources. EBays site for your review is http://pages.ebay.com/help/policies/accepted-payments-policy.html
Look at possible go arounds especially for local transaction. https://www.thebalance.com/alternatives-to-paypal-while-using-ebay-*******

This behavior is no different from that preceding the spinoff of PayPal. You can find on the Internet discussion of using other options e.g., in auctions Google Wallet but beware of the wrath of eBay. If you are a home based merchant look at accepting independently credit cards through e.g., Square. Https :// squareup. Com/? Pcrid=%7Bcreative%7D&pdv=c&pkw=square&pmt=e&utm_campaign=Bing_Search_Brand_Alpha_Register_AllDevice_USA_English&utm_content=square&utm_medium=cpc&utm_source=bing&utm_term=square

I work with small non-profits and have successfully moved them from PayPal to the Square to avoid the pending of funds and the almost 1-month delay in obtaining moneys from selling activities.

EBay is without question the giant of world-wide Internet sales exclusive of Amazon but do not give up, evaluate possible options for your individual circumstances. http://growingyourbiz.co/alternatives-to-eBay

Another interesting alternative is Bonanza, http://www.bonanza.com/ebay_alternative

The issue of monopolizing payments to PayPal has been legally challenged over the years without any relief for buyers being obtained.

EBay terms of agreement use ties your financial hands unless you can process credit cards independently or use other alternatives. What can you do as buyers with respect to PayPal holding and benefiting from your funds for up to 30 days? They are using millions of sellers dollars to earning interest but pay you nothing for the loss of accessibility. It is interesting to note they immediately take out their collective fees. PayPal has successfully barred class action suits to obtain relief.

PayPal has been successful in avoiding Federal regulation as a bank. They are a money transmitter and regulated at the State level. The states do not appear to have standard criteria for pending funds. For example: http://www.ecommercebytes.com/cab/abn/y11/m12/i16/s01

Many of those statutes cap the period of time that money transmitters can hold onto payments before releasing them to the recipient.

In California, for instance, where PayPal is headquartered and registered as a money transmitter, section 1841 of the state's Money Transmission Act reads:
"Every licensee or its agent shall forward all money received for transmission or give instructions committing equivalent money to the person designated by the customer within 10 days after receiving that money, unless otherwise ordered by his or her customer."
http://money.cnn.com/2008/02/26/smbusiness/paypal_float.fsb/index.htm?postversion=*******611

Look at your individual state and insure that PayPal is in compliance with the specific license requirements. If the state has no specific period for pending funds contact the Regulatory Bureau and highlight the PayPal abuse and their inconsistency with other states to have the licensing requirement changed. I accept that 10 days is more reasonable than 21 days and the incredible 3-4 business day to transfer the seller funds to their bank account is unacceptable. If you buy with a payment from your bank account the withdrawal is immediate.

PayPal state licenses can be found at: https://www.paypal.com/webapps/mpp/licenses

Remember many services conducted by PayPal exclusive of eBay can more easily be done by Walmart. Their money centers are stored based and provide a broader level of service and access to funds. https://www.walmart.com/cp/walmart-money-center/5433?povid=GlobalFooterMoneyCenter

We will only curtail eBay and PayPal self- centered motives and adverse seller conduct by moving our business to other venues.
Good luck in your decision making.

I am sharing my recent experience with a Florida company operating on the Internet. This transaction was processed through PayPal beware of their illusion of consumer protection.
Bel Incorporated
TBA: Discount Mugs
******* NW 115th Avenue
Medley FL *******
This entity is highly questionable in its business practices and the BBB and on-site reviews should be viewed through a broader screen that will identify many injured consumers documented through various Internet sites. I used the web site to order imprinted T-shirts and the requested payment was made via PayPal. This was followed-up later by the Art department email stating that I would be paying $$$ more because the art work required multiple color, etc. I continued to question this because the art work was a B&W photo. I advised them to cancel the order and refund the monies all documented via email. The company confirmed acknowledgement of the cancellation and request for refund. But no refund I followed-up numerous times with the unseen and unidentified customer service but despite repeated promises, no refund.
They have also been unresponsive to the PayPal inquiry. My money is being enjoyed by the company and PayPal has received their cut for the transaction. Since many of the claims against Discount Mugs is couple hundred or less they know the filing fees and process for the Florida Small Claims Court process will negate any consumer action.
