Within a few minutes of time I received a message from someone with the same name, same picture, and in the first one he lived in LA and spent a lot of time in Napa and second one moments later he lives in New York, and spends a lot of time someplace else. Neither state or states that I am in even if he was a real person. All of the messages are from somebody who lives in a different state, if not different country, but they aren't real people. They are all incredibly wealthy. Of course, they have started companies and they want to give me their all. They are all obviously canned messages. I haven't even finished my profile at all but now I deleted it anyway. It makes me sad to think that anybody falls for these obviously fake profiles and nonexistent people. They let you see a few messages I guess and then want you to pay so you can read more fake messages. When you delete your profile for one of the reason choices is that they are fake profiles so they know that we know. Before the pandemic and trump I would've been very shocked that anybody would buy into this total bunch of lies, but now I'm not that shocked; I'm just disheartened about people, knowing that they can get away with it.

Tip for consumers:
Should’ve looked at reviews first before I wasted 15 minutes. It was on a site that was recommending dating sites for people over 50 so that looked plausible but it’s not. Just stay away from this dateMyage website.

When you receive notice that your item expired that you are selling on the site you will see that you can leave it with them for it to be recycled or here's the good part re-sold later. Buy them with them keeping all the money. The item that I was trying to sell I would've received an entire 5% of the sale price on a Calvin Klein item. But if I didn't take it they could sell it by one of their other means later. On principal I am using my little bit of credit for the postage to reclaim it.

Hi Brenda—thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We wish that you would have had a more positive experience with our Clean Out program! We do our best to provide as much information as possible up front for customers who are considering thredUP as an option for passing along their unwanted clothing. We provide tools like our Payout Estimator (thredup.com/cleanout/payout-estimator) & Payout Structure (http://bit.ly/2V4A6Re) so customers have a good idea of what their earnings may look like. We also offer the option for consignment where sellers can adjust the price of their items as they see fit. It is always our hope to list items accurately as it is in the best interest of our sellers, our buyers, and thredUP. We do make mistakes, however, and our support team (thredup.com/contact) is always available to assist in those scenarios.

Items show a ship by date. Then you look in tracking later and there is another ship by range. I just checked again and that has changed substantially WITH NO NOTICE AT ALL. Another items shows shipped - however tracking info shows only that the shipping info was received. IT HAS MADE NO PROGRESS shows shipped on the 12th, it is the 18th. NO PROGRESS. From reading the other reviews I am almost afraid to get the items. The quality reviews stink.
