I purchased the Cloud sofa from RH. I was told in would be 3 months wait from when I purchased it on Father's day 2021 with my children. Ok. I get it - the couch is awesome, custom made, big delays. However, when I received an email for delivery earlier than expected, I was delighted. I selected a specific date - Sat, Aug 14,2021, to be exact. This day has now come and gone and nothing from RH. No update. No email. No phone call. Nothing.

So, I get on the chat feature with RH, and they have no record of that specific day for delivery. Hmm! Like really?

Yet, when I went into the Austin store a week before on the previous Sunday to confirm in person that this specific date, Aug 14,2021, was selected and to add alternative nbrs to call for delivery, their in-store associate confirmed Aug 14,2021 as the date I selected.

So, Aug 14,2021, an entire day, wasted waiting on nothing.

On the chat with RH, a 'Ron P' to be exact, was less than stellar. The absolute audacity of 'Ron P''s attitude was unbelievable from a company of this stature. That SOB, yep, he is definitely in that category, just abruptly ended the chat when he could not fix the problem. He did state that he called his manager, the store manager, and the delivery people and that there was nothing else he could do. So, click, poof, and he ended the chat and he was gone. He did not even wait to hear back from his manager, the store, or the delivery people as to why they moved the date without informing me.

Hell of a company your running Mr. GARY FRIEDMAN (CEO). With Customer Service like this, you have now lost all my future business and those of many of my friends and enemies alike. And I have a new 3000 sq ft house to decorate - this was the first purchase.

Everyone, my friends and enemies alike, were waiting on me for this purchase to see if the couch was worth the money. With Support like this, IT IS NOT WORTH ANYTHING.

On to other furniture companies. I do not spend money with a company that completely disrespects its customers. There are companies waiting for opportunity like this. They will have it now.

Tip for consumers:
Go find another furniture store. It is obvious that RH does not honor its commitments.

Often people here on LinkedIn call out companies with excellent performance, excellent customer representatives, and excellent customer service. This is NOT one of those posts.
This post is an outright warning – DO NOT USE ‘AMERICAN HOME SHIELD' (AHS)! Again, DO NOT use ‘American Home Shield' (AHS). Run completely in the opposite and other direction. Do not talk to them about home warranties.
Why? Because in my experience across this past year, AHS does not honor their contracts.
Their Service Representatives are barely able to comprehend the urgency of an emergency. Let's take my current situation for example.
• Friday night my water heater expansion tank burst in the attic, hundreds of gallons poured out across the attic floor, water leaked through attic floor into the ceiling and light fixtures causing electrical shorts, and flooding the main floor of the house and ruining a Persian floor rug.
• As water spread further in the attic further power loss was experienced, electrical shorts from the water.
And this is what the AHS Service Rep told me; we have 24 to 48 hrs. To respond to your needs. I cannot get someone out to help. That my friends and acquaintances is an absolute exact quote. Unbelievable.
And more to this story is the back-story. The same water heater expansion tank burst in March of this year. Yes, flooding my attic, ruining the ceiling below it, and shorting the electrical. Hmmm! See a pattern here? The ‘then' plumber requested a new water heater, not just the expansion tank. AHS did not approve. They only approved changing the expansion tank.
So, here we are yet again with JUST MORE DAMAGE. And what you may ask is AHS doing about this matter. Absolutely nothing. I am at 21 calls, over 20 representatives and still no resolution.
Take a moment to read AHS' online reviews. Look at the BBB for example.

The BBB will not accredit AHS. These are just the AHS closed cases: 14,780+ complaints in last 3 years. 6,725+ complaints in last 12 months. How many are still open? I dare say into the 6-7 figures of complaints against AHS for failure to honor their contracts, failure to provide adequate repairs, and failure to provide adequate replacements.

There are thousands upon thousands of complaints across a multitude of review sites – each one stating ‘how BADLY AHS treats its customers', ‘how badly AHS does not respond to customers', and ‘how badly AHS just ignores its customers' – even though we have contracts with them.
A very enterprising lawyer firm or even an entrepreneurial attorney has the makings of a massive and very winnable CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT against AHS, in my humble opinion. Sign me up as client number One! And I do not understand why the Federal Trade Commission or the US Attorney's office is not investigating this company for its, again IMHO, fraudulent activities.

And just a little bit more for reference, there have been other calls to AHS (by me).
One specific: My refrigerator went out last year, well just the ice maker. It was fixed and replaced 5 times alone across 7 technicians visits with new ice makers, sensors, and fans. None of them could get it fixed. Finally, a competent refrigeration company diagnosed that the compressor was causing the issues. Yes, it was a Samsung – a company whose products I will never purchase again from other related appliance failures (reliability is horrendous). Look it up online. By I digress…. So back to the story. Seven (7) technicians later over 4.5 months, I finally get an email and a call from ‘someone' (Mari Dinkel), says he is in the AHS Executive suite (oxymoron here) to apologize. I nearly fell off my chair laughing my buttocks off. They finally sent me a check to buy a new refrigerator. Why, because they were too lazy, too incompetent to replace it themselves.

In conclusion – DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. Again, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! Why? Everything they have stated to me have been across all my service requests have been lies, mistruths, misdirection, and avoidance of fixing the problem. AHS representatives, like its CEO, Rex Tibbens, do not care about you as a customer. They care about taking your money, lining their corporate pockets, and screwing their customers. Period. That is my honest and unbridled opinion of AHS.

Folks, you are much better off putting your money into a monthly savings account or mutual funds, collect the interest and use those funds when things break. Save your money and avoid this company.

Horrible site. Cannot search products. Cannot add products to the cart. When you do get lucky to get anything into the cart, the site either crashes or you are blocked.

DO NOT MOVE HERE!

Awful place to live. Worst decision I ever made. Pinnacle Mgt is horrible. Maintenance takes weeks to fix an issue. That is if they do not cancel your request first.

Drugs coming in and out as well as cops. People in the front office are rude and do not know anything. Sent multiple emails to the manager and he, Scott, just ignores me. The parking is ridiculous, they charge you to have a place to park.

Building 2 is infested with roaches. Mgt simply will not take care of the problem. Multiple requests are ignored.

So DELTA AIRLINES TOTALLY S---CKS!

My son gate checked his bag.

Then the airlines took it off the plane. They finally realized their F----up, then DELAT re-routes the bag.

The the Baggage Representative tells us that the bag will be delivered tonight. It never arrives.

Then I call DELTA, kept on hold for over an hour. Then I am told TOO BAD, maybe it will get delivered tomorrow. AND YOUR REPRESENTATIVE HANGS UP ON ME.

WHAT A SH----TTY AIRLINES.
