I ordered a faucet through showerdoordirect.com on Amazon on Feb 3rd. Today is March 15th, and I still don't have the item I ordered. This company has held up my renovation for a month now. The problem started when they decided to send me a substitution without asking if that was okay. It wasn't. I called Saturday and Monday, and no one would call me back. I finally got an email response, and they indicated they would send the correct faucet. But they wouldn't actually call me to confirm -- despite my numerous requests and calls. I NEVER got to speak to a live person. Apparently, they sent out a replacement via USPS, and it apparently got lost. I had to call THEM to find out that it had been returned to them, after I spent all week tussling with the post office. They said they'd send the faucet back out -- still refused to call me. And then they emailed to say they were sending a substitution. Wow! That was the problem in the first place. What an incredible waste of my time. Please, save yourself the brain damage, and shop somewhere that actually cares about customer satisfaction.

I've never had an order go wrong with Costco. I've ordered everything from shampoo to printers to carpet cleaners. Returns are simple -- I take it back to the store. Always a satisfactory experience (unlike some other large online shopping sites).

I recommend their auto-ship program for its convenience and price discount. For an online shopping site, their service is excellent: I can always get someone on the phone. The one downside is that sometimes they run out of products, and there is really no warning about when that happens... and then the dog has no food, which can necessitate an unplanned run to the pet food store.

I ordered a faucet, Lowe's charged my card, and sent an email to confirm it was shipped, but sent no tracking number. Ten days later, I still don't have the item. I have to contact Lowe's to see where it is. Oops. They never actually had it in stock -- even though they charged me card and told me it was shipped. What a terrible customer service process. It help up my renovation by two weeks. Not impressed.

I have always been a Sears Appliance Repair fan -- but no more! I booked a repair appointment, took the day off work, and then Sears cancelled at 7p the night before. I call that way too late to cancel.

When I rebooked, they made me wait another week for an appointment. Again, I took another day off work. This time, they didn't even show up, after dispatched called at 2.30 to tell me they were on the way. I called Sears no less than five times that day, and wasted an hour and a half on the phone trying to get confirmation that the technician was coming. Not once did anyone call me back. And you know what Sears did to compensate me for all the wasted time? Nothing. And they wanted me to wait another week for a third appointment. If I did business that way, I'd be fired in a heart beat. That is the last appliance I buy from Sears and the last repair they do for me.

If you don't want to have your time colossally wasted, call anyone but Sears. Their level of customer service is right up there with the cable companies. AVOID them.

I saw the link on the PBS website, and figured it would be safe. Glad I read the reviews first. Thanks, PBS. Was the fund drive so bad that you expose viewers to malware to make a buck?
