Barbara Spectre, founding director of Paideia, the European Institute for Jewish Studies in Sweden, is dedicated to education and entrepreneurial activism for the Jewish people. She has achieved academic excellence, published multiple works, and been the recipient of many awards. Most recently, Barbara Spectre was awarded the King's medal by King Carl Gustav XVI for her contributions to Jewish culture. She is known as a warm, caring, and humorous educator. Barbara Spectre is a PhD candidate with Bel-Ilan University, focusing on the models of response related to Jewish and Christian theology. She has lectured extensively in Israel and the United States; working tirelessly to share her passion, experience, and knowledge of Jewish culture.
