I took out a Medicare advantage plan with United Health Care. Ever since then I've received numerous calls from other health product providers who claim to be calling on behalf of United Health Care.
United Health Care "Partners" with 3rd party companies. Those companies call continuously to 'offer' their products and services.
I contracted with UHC for Health Insurance Coverage, NOT for them to sell my contact information to their affiliates.
I called back one of their affiliates, "HouseCalls" and successfully had my name removed from their call list (they've not called since). HouseCalls representative informed me that I would have to contact UHC customer service in order to have my name removed from lists with other UHC affiliates. However, when I contacted UHC about this, I had to go through 5 representatives (yes, explain the situation to each one), each of whom "... don't handle that issue" or did not understand what I was requesting them to do, before I finally reached a representative who did understand, and took my name and number off of their (I don't recall just what they termed this list) affiliate list. This representative also though to ask if I wanted my name and address removed from their affiliate usps mailing list. Why yes, thank you! As I never would have though to ask about that!
They do not have a direct number to resolve this issue. You have to call the regular customer service number and likely go through several representatives to have your name and number (and address) removed from their affiliate lists.
On the bright side, I did not have to call each affiliate individually, as this one call took care of them all.

Tip for consumers:
I normally receive fairly good assistance when contacting UHC customer service about issues related to my healthcare plan. Most of the time, I reach a representative who understands my questions. Usually, however, they do not have the answers and I am transferred to 1,2,3 or more representatives before I receive what I believe is the correct answer and unfortunately, all too often, they each give different answers. Only once was I pleasantly surprised when I called in and the first representa

Please see my review of Lifescript.com offer of "Free Samples" I could repeat it all here (but it's too long). Suffice it to say that this site sucks you into endless survey questions, many repetitive before you can even hope to get to any 'free samples' pages... and then when you click to get or redeem a free sample... more survey questions.
To top it off, the free samples that they offer are all the same, no matter how many questions you answer. They are just trolling for marketing information... stay away. Better yet, RUN!

Tip for consumers:
I'd give 0 stars but that may be taken as "I don't know" or "Have no opinion" so I give 1 star to show my disgust!

I should have read the reviews before, but I got sucked into the "Free Samples". So I started filling out the questionnaire. At the end of the list of questions, I thought I'd get my free sample(s)... but NO... yet another page of questions, and at the end of nearly every page it states "Almost done..." yet is followed by just another page of nosy questions and a lot of them are very repetitive.
If you can endure and get to the end, your allowed to select your 'free samples'. However, when you click "redeem offer" or "get sample" you're taken to a page that either 1) asks even more survey questions, 2) says 'sorry sold out', 3) "Free promotion no longer available" 4) The company website that has nowhere to click for a free sample, but only to purchase, 5) a website that just crashes, 6) a site that leads back to lifescript, 7) a 'server not found' site. Worse yet, nearly ALL of the "free samples" are NOT FREE! Most ALL of them charge a shipping and handling fee (i. E., they just want your credit card information or they are 'trial offers' with recurring shipments and hefty payments/charges - particularly if you forget to cancel before the end of the trial -- most of which begin when you place your order, rather than when your order arrives. ALWAYS read the terms and conditions of these orders, and you will likely close the page in disgust!
Lifescript "Free Samples" is nothing but a scam to gather marketing information.
From what I've read by others, if you were actually able to get to any real, free sample offers, you are not likely to ever receive the samples in the mail, so don't hold your breath.
Instead, breathe deep and Run, Run, Run Away before you Waste Your Whole Entire Day!

Tip for consumers:
I would give "0" stars, but that may be taken as an "I don't know" or "have no opinion." I instead gave "1" star out of 5 shows my disgust for this website and their shady 'free' offer tactics.

I finally got a promo mailing for 30% off (usually get only 15%).
I tried to place an order for a total of $178 after discounts, and was to also get free shipping and $30 Kohls Cash.
I used my Kohls card, of course and input everything correctly.
When I reviewed my cart and hit "continue" there was an error page that the website server was unavailable. I tried for 25 minutes. Same page kept cropping up.
Then of course it's 1 minute after midnight and my discounts, kohls cash and free shipping are no longer valid. Am I an angry customer? You bet!
Furthermore, when I write to Kohls and complain, all I get is a 'we're sorry for the inconvenience... blah blah blah." They will not make good on the offer even though the problem was with their website.
Perhaps they had too many customers trying to take advantage of the discounts before the promo ended. If so, they need to fix their site to handle the traffic.
This is grossly unfair, as I could have saved over $200.
Even under normal circumstances, their website stinks. It takes forever to get to an item's page. It's not possible to filter several criteria at once such as shoes, women, size 9, blue, dressy. No. You have to do one filter at a time and wait, and wait and wait.
What's worse? Kohls really does not care.
