Made an order and PayPal was charged, but no email confirmation of order received. After 1 week, sent email to account shown on PayPal transaction, but never received a reply. One week later, contacted PayPal and they forwarded my complaint to vendor, but no reply was received. After ANOTHER week, opened dispute with PayPal, but vendor did not respond within another 10 day period, and I received a refund.

I usually am careful about using a new company -- I check out reviews to avoid scams. Somehow, I let this slip by me. My only advice is that if you choose to make an order, DON'T GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER. Thankfully, I charged my order with PayPal, but it was quite a hassle to jump through hoops to get a refund.

Original review: 12-7-18: I made an online order (and received an acknowledgement email). Order was not shipped. I made multiple emails to request status and received no response. Phone number on website never answered (and mailbox was full). Strangely, my credit card was never charged, so I'm concerned this is a scam site collecting credit card information for fraudulent purposes (and I've had my bank issue a new credit card).

The site looks professional, and I was surprised that the link to PayPal did not work -- that should have been my first clue. In the future, I'll not place an order with an unfamiliar company unless they ACTUALLY accept PayPal.

Updated information: On 08-06-19, I received an email from *******@newcommerce.com with the subject line of "Law suit pending regarding your sitejabber posting."

Body of message follows: "It was brought to our attention that you have posted fake accusations on Sitejabber accusing French Food Baskets of stealing card information. This accusation is baseless, defamatory and is hurting our reputation and business. We have referred this matter to our legal team for further action. In the past 10 months, this false accusation has cost us substantial loses. Please rest assure that we will spare no effort in defending our business interest and reputation.

French Food Basket"

My take on this email: Apparently, the company not only doesn't fulfill orders, or maintain appropriate contact with customers, they respond with a threat when they receive a well-earned bad review. (They also can't count -- it was not 10 months since my review.)
