I would Just like to clarify that the review I made about Zomodo, was not about any other products they sell, but only in relation to cctv surveillance systems, the website contact I have on my instruction manual is www.ZOMODO.COM sometimes the website comes up totally different, I don't know whether this is because Zomodo sell many other products, or there is another website with a similar name, the picture on my previous review looks different

A couple of years ago Zmodo were running a group deal through Ebay for sbn 4 cctv DVR with HDD which seemed to be a good buy at the time, but to get someone in to install camera's and wiring through the roof cost me as much as purchase price of the unit, but that was fine
The unit is supposed to monitor and record activity around the house for safety, but after a couple of years it malfunctioned and stopped recording
I made contact with Zomodo through live chat, I was told that HDD drive needs to be formatted, but Dvr would not recognize HDD unable to format
So I brought a Sata usb cable and formatted the HDD with the computer still not recognised by DVR, So I purchased a new purple Hdd formatted it and still no result,
Tried resetting the DVR as advised on Zomodo on live chat did not work either, and now it has malfunctioned completely, settings and camera's not showing on monitor. To repair the DVR is more costly than purchasing another one
But worse still I was unable to contact Zomodo through live chat, even after I was asked to sign in, also the email I sent them was ignored, they must have had enough of trying to solve my problem
Sorry Zomodo, something that is relied on for security should be made more reliable
I will never purchase a Zomodo product again

AVS4 YOU Support team have always been courteous and provided me with answers to fix a problem I have not found a programme yet that has been 100 % perfect, the new windows 10 zapped my windows media player, just as well I had AVS media player as backup however I would like to see improvement to photo editor cut, paste layers etc. as I sill have to use a windows 2000 photo editor for effects, but AVS video editor is good with editing and effects
