I found a job posting listed on Zip Recruiter under the business name of Solutions Ephphatha LLC for a customer service job. I got a call from Mr. Cox claiming to be the chief executive officer. He then told me to get on my computer and that he wanted me to sign up today. He then told me to go to Arise.com and sign up, and told me that he would pay all of the fees associated with the training class. I completed all of the prescreening, then it was time to pay. He asked me for my username and password to login to my account. I refused and he kept on asking me for it. I decided to end the conversation. From a security perspective, a so called employer should never ask you for your login credentials because that can compromise your personal information. This has so many red flags. His email was ending *******@gmail.com, which if it was a business it would have a legit business ending not gmail. He wanted me to compromise my account by providing my login credentials, which could compromise my personally identifiable information. I would recommend that everyone stay FAR AWAY from this scam and never pay any money to get a job or some kind of training class. Be very careful on Zip Recruiter because this is the second job scam that I have seen on their platform.

Tip for consumers:
THIS IS A SCAM!

This website are scammers. They charge for training and they charge you a fee of $39.95 per month to use their website. Their website crashes constantly and they don't follow through with their employment obligations. They do not clearly explain the monthly fee charge upfront. I decided to do my own research before I entered my card information for the training. You should never have to pay for a job. STAY FAR AWAY. Their customer service is nonexistent, you can only get assistance through chat on their website. The chat rep was rude and did not complete my request. Steer clear of this SCAM.

I signed up for the pro version of Codeacademy, and after starting the Javascript section I noticed that my code was not running anymore for their exercises. When trying out courses on their website, I noticed that my screen would start freezing up. It may seem good at first, but after a while their website starts moving slow and sticking. You can try other free resources to learn instead. Do your research because others have said the same thing.
