I really wanted to have a good experience with this website because I really wanted the items that I ordered, but it has been nothing but frustrating and futile. The clothing that they say is in stock and ready to ship is NOT in stock. When I was told that the items would take "some days" to restock and then my order would be sent, it did not happen. I placed my order on 27 March and I have had to cancel it today, 20th April. That is just over 4 weeks of waiting just to get the order shipped, let alone to wait for the legendarily long shipping time. (btw where have all the bad reviews on here for newchic.com gone?)
So after 4 weeks I have ended up cancelling my order, because NOTHING that I had ordered had been put aside for me while I waited for 2 and then 3 items to be restocked. So apparently "almost none" of my items are in stock any more even though the website itself says that they are! I find this to be a sloppy way to do business, if not downright deceptive.
The customer service isn't completely awful but you can tell they are not good with English. I kept getting automated replies but persisted answering those with real questions and finally got an answer, albeit an unsatisfactory one. If my heart wasn't set on the red and blue plaid skirt and the 2 dresses I would not even contemplate using the website again. But I suppose I do hold a sliver of hope that this mess can be fixed by someone more senior in the company.
I had given my original order a lot of time and thought. After wasting so much of my time and good will I expect a speedy delivery to make up for it.
