Avoid this company and save yourself a lot of hassle, stress and time. I wish I'd checked the reviews here before ordering with them.
I ordered an oven and waited in for delivery.
They arrived in an AO van and parked outside my house. I went to open my front gate for them but they didn't get out of van and then proceeded to drive off. I went out onto the street and waved to try to catch their attention but they carried on driving. I rang customer service to ask what was going on and why they hadn't delivered only five minutes before and they said the drivers had said they couldn't find my property! They were parked directly outside it only five mins before! My house is on the Main Street of the village and is clearly signposted. When speaking to customer service they told me the drivers had refused to come back to deliver even though the tracker I had access to said they were little more than 10 mins away.
They said there was nothing they could do about it. I could either wait another week for delivery or have a refund but this would take five days!
I said I wanted a refund but needed it back straight away as I needed the money to order another oven. They refused. I now have no oven and have had no refund.
I'm not sure what I'm going to do. The oven was £670 and I cannot afford to buy another one.
Writing this almost feels ridiculous. They were outside my house!
Avoid this company because the delivery companies they use are obviously not bothered and are inept. Also if you do have a problem AO do absolutely nothing to help you even when they are completely at fault.
Customers mean nothing to them.
From now on I'm going to buy from local companies or places like John Lewis so if there are issues in future you know you're in safe hands with companies that care about their name and customers.
