Well, you can add me to the growing list of people who have had to return a defective device. My Galaxy S7 Edge developed two faults after a few months, firstly a cluster of dead pixels and then it started crashing and rebooting (multiple times per day). So over three weeks ago I paid to return the item. After chasing it up several times I've finally had the message that everyone else gets when returning faulty items to this scam company.
"With regard to your returned item, we would like to confirm that upon our inspection, the technician have checked thoroughly and unfortunately no obvious or previously indicated issue(s) were found. We could arrange the item to be sent back to you, however, there shall be a freight charge to be settle in order for us to further arrange the return shipment of GBP[25]."
All you have to do is turn the phone and look at it! You can't miss the dead pixels, I even have photographs! So now what am I supposed to do? Pay £25 to have a faulty phone returned to me? My job is to now start legal proceedings (which I have done before with other companies like Motorola) but am not sure of my chances as although the have a UK website and a UK return address they are based in China.
Had it not been for this event I would have given them a 5 star review, but you can only really base a company on how it reacts when things go wrong. I have bought many items from this company over the past few years (over £1000 worth of goods) and they have all been delivered.
Wish me luck, and please learn from my mistake.
