Ruby Lane is by far the most horrific selling platform that is currently in operation today. They try to represent themselves as a very high end venue, when in fact it is the utter and complete opposite.
I truly don't know where to begin, but please understand that everything I say in this review is of the utmost truth with proof to back up my claims.
Let me start by telling a bit about myself. I am a highly respected and accredited antique and estate appraiser and have held my certification for 12 years.
After reading Ruby Lane's false claims about themselves as a "high end" platform to sell vintage and antique items I decided to open a shop with them. It took me a month to carefully prepare my shop to their standards. Once my shop opened I sold over $4000 in inventory in only a few weeks. I had many repeat customers due to my high level of professionalism and the quality of my items. Then, only after one month I suddenly began receiving flags on the vast majority of my items indicating that either they were misrepresented, fakes, and basically everything one could think of. Please note that I am far from a novice in the field of antiques and I have never been wrong in any of my hundreds of authentications.
One example is 2 antique German Silver baby rattles I listed, within just days both were flagged for removal under the grounds of being reproductions. This was very odd, as there were 23 other exact same rattles currently for sale. Yet only mine were flagged. As I mentioned, all of my items have been authenticated by myself and a second party and I hold the paperwork regarding the authenticity of each item I listed.
At this point I was quite upset and tried to reach out to anybody who could help me understand what was going on. I cannot even begin to explain this, but Ruby Lane has absolutely ZERO customer support. You do not have an option to speak to a live person, it simply does not exist. You are required to email customer support and do not receive a response for over a week if you are lucky enough to receive a response at all. I literally begged for some type of help, as I was very new and their rules and regulations are so extensive it is almost impossible to read through all that they require.
I emailed on a daily basis asking for some type of help and answers, but it was futile.
I even went as far as locating the owner and president of Ruby Lane and contacting him because my shop was put on hold for reasons unknown to me. The one vague response I received indicated that I had many items in question. After 3 weeks of waiting for another review to reopen my shop I went over each of my items with a literal magnifying glass searching for what the problem could possibly be, yet as a professional myself I could find none. After 3 weeks of waiting I received an email indicating it was in the best interest of Ruby Lane to close down my shop with no explanation whatsoever. I was completely floored and contacted my attorney for his advice. After looking at the complete lack of communication from Ruby Lane and other issues, he felt there was much more behind their unwarranted decision to close my shop and informed me of how to respond to them. As of now my attorney is in the process of attempting to request details and answers from Ruby Lane, but so far has been completely ignored. They also are not refunding me the money I just paid to fund my shop, which is over $200.00
With this being said in absolute truth, I urge anyone not to believe the fantastic name that Ruby Lane has given themselves, as each and every word regarding how wonderful they are is an absolute lie. My experience with them was a complete nightmare. They disrespected my knowledge, discredited me and made me out to believe I had no idea what I was doing even though I am a professional in the field.
Ruby Lane is crude, careless and completely without knowledge of what they state they are highly professionals in.
Please, please stay clear of Ruby Lane, as I agree with the fact that they will certainly be caught in their deceptive practices very soon. In ending, if you have any questions I have not addressed please feel free to contact me anytime, as I will truthfully answer any questions regarding how incredibly unprofessional and deceptive Ruby Lane truly is behind the scenes. PLEASE DO NOT FALL FOR THEIR FALSE CLAIMS THAT THEY ARE A HIGH END SITE, AS IT IS THE COMPLETE OPPOSITE AND THEY ARE FEEDING TRUSTING PEOPLE UTTER LIES AND FALSE CLAIMS.
I am not going to stop until I receive the truth, and if that means proceeding with a lawsuit, then so be it. It is about time they are held accountable for their lies and deceptions.

Tip for consumers:
BEWARE OF RUBY LANE AT ALL COSTS!
