Rant: Almost got scammed today. I've been to the North Face Outlet stores many times. So went to TheNorthFace.com but didn't feel like paying 800$ for a coat. So I looked up the outlet stores online, and found this website (DO NOT GO THERE) https://www.northfaceoutletstoreus.com/ I confirmed with two North Face employees, that this is not North Face. This fake site has a paid ad on Google, you would think Google would verify if something is real or not. When I went to pay for a coat my anti-virus warned me not to continue. The site was redirecting me to a non-secure site that was infected with malicious malware. So my anti-virus saved me. Pretty shocking how dangerous the Internet is. I called North Face and tweeted them, and they said it was a fake site.

Due to health problems, I won't be needing TV anymore. So I wanted to cancel my Dish account. They make it incredibly difficult. First, you can only cancel by calling the cancellation center at *******769 during the day. It used to be open 24 hours, but not anymore. I called three times. The first call was on 9-11-23. After entering my account number and security code, I waited on hold for 46 minutes. So I tried again later in the day, on hold 2 hours 11 minutes. I tried on 9-12. Just left it on speakerphone for 3 hours 26 minutes. Tried again on 9-13, on hold for 52 minutes. Tried again on 9-14, on hold for 3 hours 11 minutes. About went out of my mind listening to the music over and over. Tried again today, on hold for 32 minutes, and got through! The operator tried very hard over and over to get me to not cancel. I was super nice to her as I was terrified if I got angry she'd hang up on me. I told her about my cancer diagnosis, pancreatic cancer, given two months to live. She still tried for about 20 minutes over and over to talk me into keeping DISH. Finally, she said she'd send me the boxes to send back the equipment which they are charging me $20 for. It's insane. It was the single worst customer service experience of my life. ALSO, it's important to know, I called customer service at their none cancellation number, and twice I got through to a person in under four minutes. Each time I spoke to a supervisor begging for help and they said there was nothing you could do, just call the cancellation line. Also I tried contacting on Twitter and Facebook, same deal, no help at all. It's disgusting that this corporation feels it can treat people like this. They are doing everything they can do try to get you to give up in attempting to cancel.

Today I searched google for the lowest price on a specific item that I wanted to buy 8 of. Swanson had the lowest price on sale 30% off for $9. I signed up and added the items to my cart, it showed they were on sale for 9$. I followed the screens to pay and ON THE LAST SCREEN it changed the price of each item to $13. I tried it repeatedly, closed the browser, and came back, tried a different browser, every time on the last screen it changed the price to a much higher price. So I called, and I waited, and finally, after a long wait I gave the answering system my phone number so they could call me, it prompted me to do this. It's been two hours now, no response. So they have a chat feature, and I tried it. They answered right away and the rep tried to help me, but even though I explained the issue to him over and over again, he couldn't understand. Probably some offshore customer service with obviously poor training. So I went to Amazon, found the same item for an even lower price and it took me all of 3 minutes to purchase the item with free shipping.

My mom had Kaiser most of her life, she died when she was 86. She had a stroke. Kaiser was just OK in her treatment as far as I could see. It's a very long story all the things that happened, but if you want really high quality health care, don't go to Kaiser. Any honest nurse will tell you that, too. I was horrified at some of the things I saw. Afterward I filed a very long complaint with the State agency that licenses Kaiser, and they took TWO YEARS to investigate. And in the end they found all my complaints had merit and made Kaiser come up with a plan to fix all the many things. I never went back to see if there had been improvement. One of the worst things that happened was twice she was taken to the hospital, Kaiser, by ambulance and then Kaiser said, "we have no one by that name", and insisted she wasn't there, on two occasions. We called her cell phone and a nurse picked up the first time, the 2nd time I just walked all over the hospital until I found her. Pretty sick not being able to even tell me my mom was there, twice! And we asked very nicely, and even had her Kaiser number, and they still couldn't find her. It just goes down hill fast from there, at least it did for us. I'd often leave the hospital in tears seeing how my mom was treated, but I never complained until the end when it was all over, I knew better than to complain while she was still there.
